Xfinity has just released its Jurassic Park-themed Super Bowl ad that features a digitally de-aged Sam Neil, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum. https://bit.ly/4rmRhrK

I hate shit like this. Just another rehashing of popular old stuff, to cash in on some crap product. No original idea, nothing innovative, no heart & soul at all......just a rehash of old scenes from a popular amusement park ride movie.

"Yeah, but your marketing guys were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."

Jack Horner named in the Epstein files? Thanked him and “the girls” for a good time? Sad how so many heroes you never thought would fall…fall. If true. And for reasons you could never have comprehended. Has Bob Bakker chimed in? Like MSM news isn’t bad enough. NOT on my bingo card.

If Taika Waititi directed this advert, and the #jurassic dinosaurs were worked on by animation professionals, but the actors got AI'd and it shows - it's on purpose people! It will be a Taika Waititi in-joke. It will be a 'subtle' dig about how AI can't replace professional actors and animators.

The last scene of the ad with the dinosaur in the van indicates that shit is still fu ked, which is 100% always how it goes in the end with these fuckoes. Seems good but it's actually still broken and you get charged either way.

Imagine paying untold millions for these familiar and beloved stars to appear in your ad and then applying digital shellac so your ad features the grotesque uncanny-valley'd versions of them. Reminds me of how I once ruined an art project in 8th grade because I was so excited about the paint color.

We.. couldn’t make the exact same jokes with the currently aged characters just.. visiting a new park by a different irresponsible billionaire? You know. Aw, damn, this would have gone the same way as 33 years ago if not for that Xfinity router!

This also just looks so bad and is an exact recreation of the scene that they could have just spliced the tech guy in and achieved a just-as-stupid, but less horrifying result.

You know what is so stupid, they have the original Jurassic Park movie to compare this too, it's not lost footage. Yet they still went "yeah, that's perfect!"

I really enjoyed the first half or so of this commercial. If it ended with "This is going to be a lovely weekend" or whatever, I think they would have avoided both the worst CGI *and* dragging the joke out too long.
