I really don’t understand the claim I see on this site that Dems somehow compromised and that’s somehow why US voters … rewarded Trump by putting him back in office? DOJ under Biden indicted Trump. Dems impeached Trump and GOP Senators saved him. 2024 voters saved him.

Every time I feel pangs of concern about voting for Abdul, Rogers will do something unbelievably stupid & awful to remind me of why I did so.
Unearthed email from Mike Rogers says that a vote for him protects Elon Musk: "When you stand with my Senate campaign today, you are directly shielding Elon Musk... Protect Elon and save America."

Yet 1 more example of how the Trump administration just does what it wants, despite it often not having the legal authority to do it
Despite the agency's human resources department saying he hadn’t even been onboarded, Jeremy Lewin oversaw the destruction of USAID. It’s not clear he had the legal authority to do so.

If, as expected, Democrats sweep this election, the already growing movement in MAGA to repeal the 19th amendment will get louder. It's tempting to dismiss this as just talk. But while they can't just end women's suffrage, this movement is dangerous. www.salon.com/2026/10/26/m...

It was supposed to be Graham Platner. He was going to be the whatabout. The attempted gotchas at El-Sayed about Platner’s tattoo would’ve alone made for weeks of coverage.
The political media is visibly chafing at the current situation, where Republicans are glaringly awful, fucking everything up, running deviant candidates everyone hates, and Dems are just being normal & winning. The force is out of balance. They are viscerally eager to go after Dems about something.

I felt I really needed to write about Rowling's essay, not because it's new, but because it's so poisonous and ugly that it felt like sanitizing her not to acknowledge it on my trans news site.
There's no pretense left. J. K. Rowling made her hate for trans women clear in a slur-filled screed slurring them a dozen times and describing them as deceitful and dangerous. So writes @evanurquhart.bsky.social this morning on Assigned Media. *WARNING: Article quotes Rowling's hateful language.*

Excellent advice 🤔
I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.
