Astra ⎔@astrra.space

@alphaxiv.org is so incredibly cool, i just wish they had ATProto support for SSO (rn it's just google/apple/huggingface), feels like a very good fit

I’ve revived my Apple II Agent project from January: An Apple IIe with an Ethernet card and a custom client It links up to Claude through a proxy on my Mac and allows conversational Apple II software creation similar to Claude Code When it’s done, it loads the new program into memory

nice thing about writing a browser is you can make it optimise your favorite sites heh

people really tryna make vibe coded Saas and then charge $20 a month. Saas is pretty much dead.

My new essay on Marxism and artificial intelligence! I show using the negative materialism of semiotics why we should take AGI and AI safety seriously, and also examine this new phase of class struggle through Marx's political economy. cosmonautmag.com/2026/10/marx...

the @atpota.to atmospheric weather station suffered an outage overnight and is currently recovering/backfilling the gaps, so i added a little status indicator at the top of the weather page to indicate when the station is offline or having issues

I made base-1353 encoding, so I can fit 256-bit values, like “96cca2a0c8a3263c74ef36274abf55f410d992034d16e8285811a9ad3fc59c13”, into short 26 character strings, like “ᓒᔳᣏዧᐎᑙᖜዌᙔᐸƫȶƃᒨዊጶᙵኻѫyፐᎉᑫᖫᘪᒩ”. (Also, I think these sigils are beautiful.) johnservil.github.io/sigil/play.h...

We really struggled with this when using Obsidian as well, so we gave you the option to fix it in Reams. If you set a filename using date and time, you can jump straight into the new note. They come with a space to set a title later if you like, but you don't have to! Will be set by default soon

Luna Fazio@lunafazio.bsky.social

also be easy for me to retrieve that information at a later time and Obsidian already introduces two friction points for me there first, in order to write anything, it is necessary to create a note or use a preexisting one that is already one decision that i have to make up front every single time

As we're getting closer to an eventual release of the new version, we'd like to ask: 👀 What are you most looking forward to for Colibri? Please reply! Your answers will help us redesign our website a bit to match our new feature set.

heres one that will melt some brains If the human using an AI is responsible for its bad outcome (And they should be) They also get the credit for its good outcome too. You cant have it both ways.

i cannot stress enough that if you are self-hosting shit you need to set up some sort of CI bot that will auto bump versions for you. won't protect you from compromised updates, but you really should not be running out of data versions of the commonly self-hosted apps

You can now @ people in Reams! Now you can see their profile photo when mentioned When you use the auto suggest, it'll create a link to the at uri of their profile, clicking it takes you to @aturi.to Interop wins! If you use only the @ you still get the chip, but it's saved as plain text.
