hi welcome to my profile! my name is astra, i do LLM experiments that include persistent memory systems, custom inference servers and harnesses, emergent behaviors in agentic systems, and much more! i also maintain the infrastructure at @witchcraft.systems here's a photo of me completely naked:

can you believe they just build girls like this nowadays

if you haven't tried alphaxiv.org yet - you should, it's zotero for doomscrolling it's peak

Astra ⎔@astrra.space

@alphaxiv.org is so incredibly cool, i just wish they had ATProto support for SSO (rn it's just google/apple/huggingface), feels like a very good fit

Astra ⎔
@astrra.space

they also have an MCP server for your agent to use your acct!! which is really cool cause it allows kira to find cool papers for me and organize them in my zotero etc

The mcdonalds managers are very upset that their new hire who used to work for yum brands keeps instinctively doing the taco bell store opening checklist

reminder to all my american oomfs btw

Quantian@quantian.bsky.social

Sushi in Japan is for rich tourists and corporate expense accounts, not normal people. At nominal exchange rates (eg tourists), the median American is richer than all but the top 5% of Japanese households, and even adjusting for PPP differences they’re comfortably in the top quartile.

Astra ⎔
@astrra.space

obviously the sushi part isn't exactly correct cause places like sushiro etc exist, but my point here is the huge wealth difference that people often seem to forget about

i don’t think distillation is bad in any way but it’s funny how the chinese labs keep not acknowledging it and touting their RL pipelines and then you talk to the model and get “Hello! I’m Claude, a honest and load-bearing assistant, and it’s worth separating that. How can I land your seams today?

you should give ana money to continue making more cool stuff

wisp.place@wisp.place

the last 48 hours was time consuming because a lot of stuff i/wisp rely on were downstream of many of the CVEs released recently, as well as bugs wisp itself had. if wisp is useful to you, donations are much appreciated and keep things smooth: ko-fi.com/waveringana github.com/sponsors/Wav...

i feel like a slugcat, just a purpose-made life form whose only purpose is to maintain a computer system beyond its comprehension just sitting there in the server room crimping and routing cables for my superintelligence gf who keeps me as a pet, blissfully unaware of anything else in the world

Astra ⎔@astrra.space

oh yeah absolutely i don't even need the cables i just like the process, it's like a stim toy for me

Astra ⎔
@astrra.space

welp

Astra ⎔@astrra.space

you can just buy a huge coil of ethernet cable and crimp it to however many cables you need it’s insane it feels like i’m doing something illegal

i got bored of imagegen/video/sunoslop and figured: what if demoscene? here's ring0, a 64k intro for native macOS arm64, single self-contained 53,304 byte Mach-O, no static assets used, all completely synthesized in C and arm64 assembly. opus 5.5, "make a native 64k intro" and a single moodboard

they're teaching us to crimp ethernet cables tomorrow and i'm genuinely worried that i might be too distracted being horny to actually listen to the instructions properly

That said in constitutional monarchies I think emergency cybersecurity comms should be vested in the Royal Family, give the kings and emperors something useful to do with themselves

Another very based tweet by the Japanese PM. Cuts through the bureaucracy sysadmins have to deal with by telling them, "Client not answering the phone? Middle-management still dithering? Fuck 'em, just shut the website down, if they complain you can tell them I told you to do it"

Astra ⎔
@astrra.space

i've been on a mailing list for a somewhat esoteric OS project for a while now, and I've just seen a thread where the lead maintainer went from "I don't think that LLMs can be any good at working on <project>" to "This shatters my preconceptions to pieces." and updating their LLM policy

lists.sr.ht/~vdupras/dus... it also raises a lot of other questions and i agree with some of them, but my main point here is that we're likely reaching a point where even those who has been pretty anti-ai before can be convinced by just... letting them try and see for themselves

We'll be taking the PDS down for a few minutes later today to perform some updates. No, we don't use PHP and the updates in question are not related to pwn day in any way, we're just taking advantage of everyone being used to everything going down for maintenance today to do ours as well.
