All the code for Apple II Agent is up on GitHub if you want to run it yourself. You need an Uthernet II card in your Apple II at the moment: github.com/benj-edwards... Also, Claude assembled a "how it was made" technical document that is an interesting read: bxfoundry.com/apple2agent/

bxfoundry.comApple II Agent Project NotesHow Apple II Agent came together, January to October 2026: an Apple IIe that asks Claude for software, tests it in an emulator and runs it.

I’ve revived my Apple II Agent project from January: An Apple IIe with an Ethernet card and a custom client It links up to Claude through a proxy on my Mac and allows conversational Apple II software creation similar to Claude Code When it’s done, it loads the new program into memory

A video demo of my Apple II Agent in action: You type what software you want, and it links up with @anthropic.com Claude over Ethernet for a Claude Code-style interactive software development experience Results are injected into Apple II memory over the network

I asked the agent to upgrade the Tripeaks game to graphical hi-res (HGR). Coding in process This is a window into what’s happening on the proxy machine. It builds and tests in an emulation environment first before sending it to the Apple II to make sure it works

Hey! I can do this too, right now! And I've been able to since the 1990s!

Me, to Claude Code: “I have a friend coming over. Modify Pac-Man to support a horizontal display with two player co-op, where player 2 is Ms. Pac-Man. Make one button be a speed boost. My Mistercade cabinet is at 192.168.1.102” Claude, two hours later: “The game is loaded up and ready to play”

Pre-emptive Mooon Under Waater. Deansgate. Another yummy carpet. Gambling girls push me off my spot. Smells cleaner than Pic. By 1% . The customers are very motivated . There’s a forgotten art deco about the building.

Obv I didn’t buy a $2000+ phone *just* to emulate old handheld games… But it factored into my decision 🤭

I’ve discovered that you can turn any mediocre salsa into Good Salsa (TM) if you dump a small jar of pickled jalapeno slices into it. This is a universal thing!

I wonder how fast a robot can theoretically load a dishwasher without breaking objects or the dishwasher itself Will there be multi-armed robot some day where you push a button and it goes: zip zip zip zip and it’s done in a flash? 😜

If there were any justice in the world, every day would be #WorldWombatDay, but today is the official day to celebrate these glorious creatures that crush their enemies with their buttocks, dig burrows tens of metres long, constantly regrow their teeth, have babies called wombatlets, and poop cubes.

People don’t realize how easy it is to overstate things on Bluesky if you frame them in absolute terms. EVERYTHING on Bluesky is this way

My least favorite thing about this kind of linked login system is I always forget how I originally logged in to a service, then I end up accidentally creating three new accounts trying to find it

Bacon is so good for you because it clogs your arteries with lifegiving fats, which makes your heart pump harder, keeping it in shape

Same here. Hoard berries and let them rot or gobble selfishly

Every time I have fresh berries in the house it feels wasteful to eat them all at once, but it's actually wasteful to save any because they go bad.

Finally sat down and finished editing the latest Atari Archive blog post on Video Pinball, featuring a rundown of a lot of the early arcade and console titles! There's even a couple mentions of very early computer games that I'd love to have turn up one day. www.atariarchive.org/atari-vcs/vi...

atariarchive.orgVideo Pinball (Arcade Pinball) – April 1981, Atari ArchiveWhile to audiences today the word arcade may conjure up images of video game cabinets and redemption games, the concept of a gaming parlor goes back...

I lost my NES Four Score somewhere in storage, so I was thinking about cracking open a minty fresh one I bought at Toys R Us on clearance in the 1990s Should I do it

I’ve been working on a mod of Super Mario Bros. with Zapper support. One player plays as normal and the other can use the light gun to shoot blocks and enemies on the screen—or to make Mario huge!
