They're going to add data centers in the Caribbean for proximity and access to cooling waters $0.10

I dug into Anthropic's 240,000-word prospectus so you don't have to. The AI giant said data centers are likely to increase gas prices, it's not interested in nuclear or renewables, and it's looking to expand abroad in part due to U.S. data center backlash. subscriber.politicopro.com/newsletter/2...

If they allowed me to swap in my Intel laptop for their M1 without paying more than $100; I'll do it. Otherwise, I will keep filing bug reports until support.apple.com/en-us/111997 dies

It's been about six years since Apple Silicon hardware first started shipping and still Apple will not launch a Mac without stressing how much better it would be if everyone moved on from Intel, please.

I will say; the younger heads aren't as indoctrinated as the older heads with this worship of Beyoncé and Jay-Z

Maybe I should work on implementing a sports feed for the NFL so I can then use it to mute everything about it

We did it! Framework Laptop 13 Pro is on TIME's Best Inventions of 2026. This is our third product to list, after the original Framework Laptop in 2021 and Framework Laptop 16 in 2023.

If you have the bot label on your account; I legitimately believe that you're a bot. Why else does it need to be enabled?

Since 2004, this community has helped make Firefox and the open internet possible. Our “Come Back to Firefox” campaign reunites a few early internet icons to remind people what made the internet special, and why it’s worth protecting.

> the experiment had concluded, and would not resume again So that was a joke of a run. Since tech evolves, it should be evaluated often with some experimentation (this was a publicity stunt)

operation paperclip happened. we didn't "beat" them; we moved them to the US and reintegrated their politics into everyday life lol

it's insane that dhh can go on a tirade about culling romanis or w/e and people will still send him money for his fake distro. i thought we were supposed to have beaten these guys in wwii? what happened there

I hate that she (Octavia Butler) experienced so much forced solitude but I'm glad she had an escape when she was young

She's just like me fr fr (not being the best at school b/c of their particular structure and being neurodivergent)

Cleaned it up and allowed for searching through the notes from the edition detail drawer view. I have 8 more features I'm ironing out before I release builds for this app but if you're a developer, you can build it with github.com/olamaelcu/li... (point your agents to the repo). Contribs welcome!

And now I can do proper in-line selections of text with my own notes as I read! I'm going to add color support and tidy up how it looks

Anthropic's blog post about how they're hiring fewer junior devs and their existing devs are managing "an army of Claudes" sounds... kind of nightmarish. Got to chat with The Guardian about my skepticism: www.theguardian.com/technology/2...
