When I say I love Cheesecake Factory, I mean this cat who was found malnourished and wandering through a Bay Area mall parking lot. Cheesecake Factory has since been rescued and nursed back to health. He's now healthy, vaxxed, & sweet, but still needs a loving home www.petfinder.com/cat/cheeseca...

If you win you have to do the job and if you do the job you might do something wrong. Better to never do anything and just complain about how bad things are, because then you can never be wrong.

We should put some bollards in one of the lanes so the carbrained people that want to drive through a park for some reason stop f’n asking.

In the last few weeks i've been bombarded with emails from people who have minor tech support problems. ChatGPT is telling them to email me, writing their emails, and compiling "evidence packets" after convincing them they have stumbled on a major story: www.404media.co/chatgpt-keep...

The thing with this is the answer is “literally almost everything”. Even the social progress that has regressed lately is still better than where it was decades ago.

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

since no one will shut up about ME2 today, a thread:

I think this is a pretty lukewarm take but it’s instructive: ME2 has the better narrative design; ME1 has the better writing.

RAGBRAI is a bicycle event held in Iowa since 1973 that draws tens of thousands of people every year. It is the largest cycling tour event in the world.

Their real goal is to get rid of all bicycles because they are left-coded.

It went 50 miles an hour, had no pedals, and legally required the driver to have a motorcycle license. You may as well call a bazooka a bicycle and label them a menace to society.

🧵 “If I buy the new Kyberpunks album on Friday, which platform gives you the most money?” The answer is always Bandcamp. I truly appreciate that friends want their support to go as far as possible – but did you know you can help even more and not pay a cent?

Salsola tragus was first introduced to South Dakota (from Russia) in the 1870s. Every "Western" film or TV show set in the 1800s which shows a tumbleweed is anachronistic. There were no tumbleweeds in the "Wild West".

I love our big wet genius president and think he should own the libs by doing one of these tests live at an event to show bigly smart he is so that everyone can see.

Trump: "The first one is they show you a lion, a bear, a snake, and a giraffe. And they say, 'Which one is the giraffe?' I got a perfect score."

TIL a new fact I’m gonna never shut up about.

The name of New Mexico is funny because it's one of those things that you'd think is really simple (oh, it's it used to be part of old Mexico, so we'll call it New Mexico!), but it's much more complex New Mexico as the name for the area predates Mexico by several hundred years!

Is it ~~bad~~ that people feed wildlife in national parks? Yes, absolutely. But is it funny that jays are like, “gimme trail mix”? Also yes.

Sony is considering releasing all 4 ‘BEATLES’ biopics on the same day in April 2028. Another idea being considered is offering a 4-pack of tickets to encourage fans to buy tickets to all 4 films at once. (Source: www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...)

It’s like conservatives took it as a personal challenge when liberals made “don’t judge people based on their appearance” a core tenet to espouse. “Oh yeah, well what if I made myself look like THIS?!”

This was inspired by a specific recent image of some ghoul but also it doesn’t have to apply to any specific image so I’m not gonna.

I reanalyzed the CDC data behind the LGB “free fall” headline. It rests on a change in bisexual identification among one grade, in one wave, of one survey. Gay or lesbian identification did not change significantly. Calling it a "free fall" is sensational and just gives bad actors talking points.
