I want to create an incubator that funds atproto/bluesky experimental projects to the tune of $5k-$10k dev grants. I am sorely tempted to call it “Chemtrails”, because it seeds the ATmosphere Hit me with your best ideas!

atproto spaces is shaping up! we're getting pretty close to what I expect will be the beta spec. ("beta" meaning in-production on bsky PDSes with real users) however, there's still room to maneuver. if something in the alpha isn't working for you, this is a good time to bring it up!

I asked ChatGPT to use elanguescence in some example sentences for my daughter, and hooo boy did it make some bangers!

The pro-life party who argued that violent movies were corrupting the youth now wants to live stream a public execution. Got it.

For this reason, foreign spy agencies would be incompetent not to have people on the Caltrain in the Bay Area. If I manged a spy agency, I'd have a whole team just doing wifi hot spots and recording screens with hidden cameras all over the world.

made a post in the atmosphere developer forum about timelines for rolling out spaces (aka permissioned data) and community groups to the full network. tl;dr: a couple more months of iteration and prep, then major PDS operators could coordinate to go "general availability" around mid-November

atproto has one big idea: apps should be lenses rather than boxes this idea is still unknown to majority of internet users. even to the majority of web developers we’re still at a phase where, if you explain it to someone, you can literally see it clicking for them in real time
