Nice!

Bramus@bram.us

Always nice to do updates like this one 😊 Yes, CSS `light-dark()` with `<image>` values is now available in all major browser engines. Check brm.us/light-dark-i... to get the details.

📝 I could just share a link to Marques Brownlee’s video and say, “Hey I thought this was good. You might too.” But turns out I had a lot I wanted to say and think through, so it turned into a blog post. blog.jim-nielsen.com/2026/dear-so...

Fancy!

Workers KV Instant delivers sub-2ms p99 read latencies and 250ms global replication across Cloudflare’s 300+ edge locations. KV Instant eliminates cold-read penalties and uses the familiar Workers KV API. https://cfl.re/4yArgt1 #BirthdayWeek

Best time now to look at effect again 😎

Esp. The download button failure was a dealbreaker: what use is a converter in the browser that can write my converted file into browser memory and not into my gallery?!? 😄😂 So I vibed a solution with a „share“ button with native ios share sheed alongside the download button. And it’s great! 😍

Random comment I saw on Reddit about @chatto.run. Yes, that's exactly why Chatto works the way it does. Very happy to see that people appreciate it!

I'm working on a new library that enables real shared-memory multithreading for JavaScript, natively. Here, the main thread and a worker cooperatively increment a counter. The state object is truly shared between the two threads; no messages are ever exchanged after the initial handshake.

Sadly so real :/

Talking to your manager about testing in 2023: "I want to spend a week on our test suite, to help our engineers" no way, please go back to features 2026: "I want to spend a week on our test suite to, to help our agents" 100%, you're promoted, please teach your peers about agentic testing

Yes, me too. Engineering wise there is some truth to his ideas, like trying to go self-hosting instead of cloud and making this simple. But his anti-human takes are simply horrible. gladly I can replace the small things I’m interested in his software by vibe coding my way out, like kamal 🙂‍↕️😄

The mastodon server I joined in 2022 is shutting down permanently. > Please note that Mastodon can move your followers, but it can’t transfer your old posts or uploaded media to your new account. If you want to keep a copy, download an archive. Yeah totally similar to atproto 🙄

Cooooool 🤩🤩

I'm genuinely proud of how incredibly robust Mediabunny's demuxers (file readers) have become. They can deal with the wackiest, most spec-uncompliant of files and the user can't even tell. They always get perfect-accuracy seeking no matter the file. It's just so satisfying!!

Great article! SolidJS moves into the next era of frontend frameworks with async at the core The eras are: 0) Cross-platform helpers (jquery) 1) object/class components (AngularJS, Vue 1, class-based React) 2) Functional components (React hooks, Solid 1, Vue 3) 3) Async framework (React 19, Solid 2)

Brenelz@brenelz.com

With the release of the Solidjs RC I wrote up a post on why I think you should care even in the AI age www.brenelz.com/posts/innova...

Ufff mega good!

Full DTS audio codec support landing in Mediabunny soon!! 👀 (read/write/decode/encode/mux/demux) This codec is the primary audio codec used on Blu-ray and is quite common in the home theater / feature film domain

Ha, good analogy

I figured out what a day of agentic-coding reminds me of. Pair-programming an entire day where I'm not allowed to write any code. Just write tests and guide the other programmer. No wonder I'm exhausted all the time.

Wooooooww

SolidJS@solidjs.com

🚨 Solid 2.0 has reached Release Candidate! 🎉🥳 Async is first-class — computations return promises, the graph suspends and resumes itself. Plus optimistic mutations and a reactive core rebuilt from scratch. The Big Reveal 👇 www.solidjs.com/blog/solid-2... 1/3

Sounds good! Eliminating variables!

Experimenting with a new library audit workflow. A script bundles the core logic (treeshaken) into a temporary directory, then spawns multiple agents to audit it. This removes a lot of bias from comments, docs, etc. Already really helped in H3.

Interesting!

mr. TIM@timkellogg.me

great questions (this is a well known alignment researcher with amazing papers) openai and anthropic should immediately open up to outside researchers (under NDAs, sure) so we can get a hella lot more eyes on this on this whole cess cradle

This is one of the coolest projects on Bluesky and it should be worth some Euros to you 👌

Been thinking about leading software teams when everyone’s also using agents Architects have two failure modes: - ivory tower -> useless and annoying - code janitor -> burnout To be effective you need to build systems of humans and computers swizec.com/blog/how-to-...

swizec.comHow to be useful as a software architectSoftware architects have a weird role: Think about the code _tomorrow_. Today's code is what it is, how do we make it good tomorrow? Without slowing down, losing business, or falling off a cliff.
