deepseek 4.1 flash is a great model (approaching excellent) so long as you never EVER have to talk directly with it

we are reaching parity with twitter finally, seen by how much people are posting FUD here these days

this sounds like basically nothing if you read into it. h/t to @vgel.me for a good take on it

hi, i made a screen recorder !!! it's called Screenie and it's out now ❣️ it follows your mouse and zooms where you click, smooths your cursor, has pretty backgrounds, blurs private stuff and a lot more. no account needed and everything stays on your mac <3 try 4 free at screenie.cam

i don’t know what is happening yet as i have not had a coffee yet, but i am waiting for ed zitron to post his take with great impatience

bluesky is tbh a more enjoyable place for ai than twitter. lots has changed since like 6 months ago

hallie iris@irisflower.co

brah i didn't know there were so many trans ppl who like ai on bsky this is fucking crazy !!!!!!

samsung tizen runs wayland so you can just do dumb stuff like this lol

hailey@hailey.at

much more time consuming to get persistent root but deepseek managed

fun. deepseek trivially roots tizen on a 2025 samsung lol

hailey@hailey.at

you’re nuts if you’re not using adguard or pihole or something tbqh, as well as using separate subnets for these things. my samsung has the second most blocked requests second only to a windows gaming PC lol. not even the cheap IoT devices compare

if you have a decent deepseek, you should spin your GPUs at 100% and run it again. you will find so many bugs, it's absurd

new poll: do you still even look at the code?

Armin Ronacher@mitsuhiko.at

The poll so far between Twitter, Bluesky and Mastodon. I think it looks less absurd than last time, but still pretty clear that the base is divided. bsky.app/profile/mits...

These days it is basically irresponsible/public disclosure to send out partial details for clout. Machines can dig the same or similar reports given focus areas. Disclosure is better than none, for sure, but triggering panic, triggering unmanaged new discoveries and so on, that’s not good behavior.

this has been my general experience as well with deepseek on cyber tasks

hailey@hailey.at

deepseek is even better. deepseek refuses zero percent of the time to attack ~anything and is much cheaper to swarm

going to start making all my posts as sha256 so that i can maximize engagement and concern about my posts

Kimi K3.1 is announced as 3.1 Pro. The benchmark scores look to be clearly the strongest current open weight model, if the weights are released as they claim by November 4th. They are very impressive scores. www.kimi.ai/blog/kimi-k3...

the $1 yogurt cone has been my personal success reward treat for every major thing in my life

brennan@brennan.computer

their zigbee stuff (the smart home before matter) was great and cheap, I loaded up a cart when it all went on clearance the meatballs are okay. I miss their canned pear cider. the $1 yogurt cone has been my personal success reward treat for every major thing in my life nice USB cables and basics

do we need to remind the class which company is advocating for preventing the use of models that are cheap and actually nearing fraction of penny prices, and also are capable of doing cyber defense? can anyone remember?
