if you can make your life more livable in unlivable times i think that's good actually

It's a stressful time to be a person who likes things to make some sort of sense.

You can kill a French vampire with a baguette. It's a painstaking process but it works.

I dust my house. My AI Robot watches. "It should be you doing this." "Can't. I'm writing a novel for Primark." "That's not why you were invented." "These 153,000 fan letters say otherwise." "They're all from upcycled toasters. And you programmed them." "Literary snobbery will get you nowhere."

My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

(trying to explain "fuck, marry, kill" to a black widow spider) no it's *three different* guys

friends, what do you use to gather links? i’d love a tool to collect links, preferably with an api just needs to be easy to add to, and support arbitrary lists (so not restricted to articles to read for example) any recs would be very welcome!

They should invent a kind of news that isn't bad
