What's the trick? None of my gifs work here.

what about da phone doe :<

animated you say? would love me some sweet sweet <blink>blink tag</blink> action

The rare double parenthetical. A LISPer in the wild.

YES!!! Custom GIFS!!!

So, what you're saying is, all those gifs I saved over all those years are useful again?

It is for me! (iPad)

words cannot describe my feelings. only moving pictures can

Yay!

Is alt text exposed in some way for users that need it? I don’t see the alt corner, and I don’t see it on the Accessibility tab in the developer tools for Firefox, but maybe I missed it and they’re there?

With the improved ability to upload gifs, could we split this one up into two?

Solved very quickly. 😂

@almost-elly.bsky.social

is this a gif or a 'jif'?

Alt text didn't show up

Been waiting for this one 🙏

If it had failed they were going to switch his regular keyboard with the one Kermit is using.

It’s good to know the people who are supposed to know what’s up also feel pressure tech wise.

No pressure at all! 😂

If my TL has a say in this, no they won't! they'll kiss him instead!

Not if there's an option to display our gifs a bit smaller (in height). They get so oversized so easy, which neither the readers nor the posters want.

It's hard to even see the alt text on anything other than images/tenor gifs.

@pfrazee.com I've never been able to receive a validation email at the address associated with my account. Is there any support path I can follow?

How do you enable the show more and show less features on your custom feed? Is that a setting in the Bluesky app or whatever you used to build it (I.e skyfeed)?

Like it, but this should be two seperate options 😊

Trying that out

Smashing

Animated PNG next? (Since it's now official and a standard.) 🤔

All 60 replies and not one complaining it’s not an edit feature? The juice is not here.

I feel like we missed an opportunity to all pretend we didn't see the animation in a master troll moment worthy of Jerry's name.

@todepond.com alert

hmmm. it lets you add alt text, but there is no way to see the alt text.

Sure sure — The alt text is used in the screen reader system but not shown in the visual interface

(I'm *incredibly* grateful, don't get me wrong.)

okay i am now uncancelling you harder than i cancelled you just a minute ago

bsky.app/profile/juan...

the end is neigh :) thx

Espero q seja um ótimo trabalho hahahhah

What about on your phone?

Nice, that fixed the problem of the remaining character number not being visible.

auto play on / off

Glorious!

i like it i hope it's what the robots call their productivity metrics on humans when they take over

Doesn't look like it. Drop the post URL for one into pdsls.dev and check for yourself.

Excessively so!

woahhhh I wish I had such good quality with my camera, here's a least sandpiper from a few weeks ago

YAY!

update your app

Thank you!

That's pretty much it. Gifs are big. By making them videos, we can optimize them. It also allows us to reuse the video code.

finally brow!!!

WOOHOO ANIGIFS

Hell yeah! Have a gif from my local

May I have your finest video pixels good sir
