Post

LOL 😂

🤣 hilarious

I just got the mac mini pro and believed your for a moment.

I got baited. Damn 😂

🤣

Good one😁

huh?

correct, I run a personal PDS on a Motorola Razr.

I'd be happy to lend my 4-node Raspberry Pi cluster to the cause!

When will we have an edit option for our posts?

But it could!

bsky.app/profile/mena...

M1 Air

So, a Beowulf cluster of them?

kinda figured this seems like a mac three site

But you're saying that it could, maybe, on a bet

But it could

You me for a sec no gonna lie

Hahah be careful. Bluesky just got big enough that news orgs will screenshot your original post and make a whole story about it

Bluesky Plays Pokémon

Lemmie guess its a ThinkPad T480

univac?

(For clarity, I read the Beowulf cluster comment as a reference to turn of the century Slashdot, and responded with a similar era Slashdot reference)

I’m feeling my age now, Mr. Gecko

I knew it. It runs on a Rockwell Calculator.

It's ok we know there's a little 2u server somewhere Doing It's Best.

came back to verify this

Chust 💀

fun fact: to this day the DAW that I use to make music is the same version of acid pro I pirated when I was 15.

...so it's 2 Mac mini m4s?

XyWrite on the original IBM 8088 could do anything tho fr

TRS-80?

The M4 Pro model, right?

What stack?

No, I read that they're using massively parallel Z-80 processors.

I’d believe it😏 luv those mini’s

Let's not forget about the contributing, and environmentally friendly, power source:

🤷‍♀️

I can and won’t

Raspberry Pi and a usb stick

Haha, a patato

Ha, but seriously…I want one before fucking tariffs are instituted. My M1 isn’t getting any faster and I want to play with Final Cut Pro 11, too.

It's also a static site. No PHP!

So in layman terms

That is very reassuring Mr Paul! Impressive, but I thought it would be running on a cluster of servers.

It is a bit laggy at times

🤯

maybe a half rack of them

Not a Commodore 64 or an Amiga?

You upgraded to the new IOS didn't you Paul?

It is powered by a couple of gerbils.

😂

Nah, it's running on a Sinclair ZX80.

🤣🤣🤣

you guys are now the cool kids... well done

shoot, what?

Sure! I run on mac and cheese.......

Wow! Who owns it?

no

The Backup

😊

They lost an opportunity to bring back the G4 Cube

Como você com os brasileiro voltando lá pro Xis. Dá um baixo astral né.

😳 what??

Less is more rn it seems

the question is HOW ????

An Apple product.. What else?😂

No

Yes actually

And I thought it was the old XT on Turbo with 640K and that classy Hercules comparable graphics amber card we used for Sim City in 1990.

@lucas-augusto.bsky.social

I LOLd. Is it still cool to acronym?

I used to joke when it first came out about how so many of the online services we used to run were on machines with less power in pretty much any category than the iPhone 1.

I'm actually super interested in what your backend and architecture looks like, the app experience is super smooth, I haven't run into any issues! I'm impressed 💯

🙌🙌

Of course it does!

🤣🤣🤣. In a dream

Yeah. "Imagine a Beowulf cluster of those!"

I build radio shows on a M1 mini, so...

And it only eats 1 cup of Purina Mac Chow™ a day.

I figured it was 3 Raspberry Pi Picos in a trench coat

Can we file this under : bsky management spreads missinformation?

But I heard I was a BBC Model B 32k!?

I though you meant the server for a bit XD

Absolutely yeah

That's funny. I'm not a developer but I am married to one and I raised one.

Yes, it’s glitchy af

Based on how often it crashes, yeah

Is that why it keeps falling over? Or is that when you're ordering stuff on amazon?

Woof. No. /tailwag

It wouldn’t have gone down yesterday if it truly did.

That’s awesome!! I really want to get a Mac mini!

lol

😂

for real ?

I was told it was a Raspberry Pi.

Just joined to check it out

🙀

It's a joke, but I bet you could get pretty close 🤣

no community note, must be true

lol

Yeah, but back then, there was no css and only <html> and <blink> tags.

How about an Osborne One?? Wish I still had them, I could set up competition.

It’s a crutch.

What if you need to hit that power button though

Yes.

Thank god they upped the default ram

works so well too

Mini but mighty!

Remember when all the airlines had that huge tech meltdown except for one that was unaffected because it was using Windows 94 or something like that?

Yes.

G4 Mac mini

You say that, but it's clearly running on a handful of networked BBC Micros

Does it really?

That’s a worry!

Oh, I can easily believe that. ...because I don't know anything about technology. 🫠
