1. The name Bluesky was originally a placeholder for the project started by Twitter to build an open social protocol. Purely by coincidence, my mother gave me the name Lantian, which translates to "blue sky."

I’d suggest algorithm choices as well, for both Following and Discover. Something like: [x] Likes [ ] Comments [x] Only count those I’m following … Basically the same stuff you already debate, but as simple choices.

Would be great to include salary and benefits in the job postings. It demonstrates a commitment to transparency and equity, and many jobs boards won't accept posting without it these days.

Is there a verb or noun to represent use of this platform - representing the sky or the butterfly - that is unique. Like we used to tweet but our voice was silenced when the name changed to the imprisoning bars of the black letter. “Post” seems too solid for Bluesky 🦋

I actually liked the regular blue sky logo more than the current butterfly. It felt more ephemeral, like it broke a mold compared to all the other apps that had some kind of shape in their icons.
