Hey friends, I'm doing my best to make it easy for folks to come here and find their communities. I've got two starter packs so far - one with general left-ish activists and leaders, and one with folks working on union issues. Links in chat, and if you'd like to be added to one let me know!

Look what we have here! Spotted outside of Bernie Sanders rally for @abdulelsayed.bsky.social. Musk’s America PAC has given Mike Rogers over $8.5 million this cycle and millions more via his enormous contributions to Senate Republican PACs. Elon, our democracy is not for sale!

hang on, so Bleecker Street was sold to a Pierre Omidyar-backed group that also happens to back Tosca Musk's Passionflix... and now "MUSK" is disappearing from theaters?

As Ed covers down the thread, it's POSSIBLE that the movie just wasn't selling tickets, but... Sorry. Too many coincidences here for me to believe that there's no connection. And BTW, Elon's seed money for everything he's done since came from Omidyar's eBay buying PayPal 🤷‍♂️

Pretty much the only way you could get me even remotely enthusiastic about MGP — getting Elon to spend a ton against her. She's a miserable piece of shit, but it's still better than having a Musk puppet in the office.

We won't have the full picture until 2027, if at all. PACs won't report their Q4 donors until January, so huge piles of money can be poured in and spent before we know who's behind them. But those resources will give you a pretty clear sense of who's spending, and who they're buying.

Musk's justified DOGE with Deep State conspiracy theories. But bureaucrats are more directly accountable than contractors are, especially when those contractors own monopolies and are politically powerful. It's impossible to imagine a DOD official doing what Musk did and keeping his job.

The clear implication of this is that the U.S. military is also at the mercy of Musk’s whims. He cannot be allowed to keep control over Starlink. He has demonstrated that he can’t be trusted with this power.
