We have a result in this race. Taylor, who wanted to bring theocracy to Oklahoma schools, has lost in the GOP primary.

Democrats this month flipped two school boards that had been drawing a ton of attention for ultraconservative policies. One in Florida. One in Tennessee. One in a county Trump won by 18, the other in a county he won by 20.

OFFICE FLIP: A Democratic-endorsed candidate has flipped the position of chair of the school board of Orange County, in Florida. Angie Gallo, who currently sits on the school board, won very countywide to replace Teresa Jacobs, a Republican who has been board chair since 2018.

Polls are about to close in much of Florida. One thing I’ll be watching: school boards. It’s not the highest profile certainly, but important contests.
