Elon Musk is a citizen of Canada. Elon Musk is also a citizen of South Africa. And Elon Musk is a naturalized citizen of the U.S. who apparently lied about his student visa to stay in this country to make money. Why would anyone expect him to have allegience to the U.S.?

yeah and he's denied a lot of things @wsj.com When things get off the rails a little more they will all take credit and convince the cretins who populate this country that it was for the good -- a way to end the war. stop normalizing @wsj.com

It should be a top priority of the Democratic house to subpoena Musk to get to the bottom of this. Musk and 47 should not be allowed to avoid accountability by pointing the finger at each other.

AND WSJ AND THE REST OF THE OLIGARCH-CAPTURED PRO-PLUTOCRACY MEDIA CAN SHARE IN THE BLAME. MUSK IS A TREASONWEASEL WHO SHOULD FACE PROSECUTION AND DENATURALIZATION AND SPEND THE REST OF HIS LIFE EATING BUGS OFF THE FOORS IN GITMO. #BOYCOTTWSJ

I'm puzzled. It had to be Musk. It's his toy. As for Trump's denial of any knowledge, that doesn't count for much. 'I don't know anything about it' is a standard response. If there were a scandal involving Melania, he'd say he'd never heard of her. It's just a habit now. The good news, one...

In an interview with The New York Times, Prime Minister Mark Carney confirmed that Canada plans to diversify away from Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite system. Carney spoke about exploring other options for satellite internet service in the context of reducing reliance on U.S. defence and technology

Trump is scared & over re-acting. Trump is trapped in the Iran war & is over re-acting, scapegoating others for what he himself created. As the Election day &/or the Renewed attack on Iran becomes closer, the more erratic irrational crazy Trump will become. Trump will burn it all down. *

Ukraine lost access to Elon's Starlink satellites, so Jon Stewart called Starlink customer service

DT, Musk and the rest of the Republican cult’s mentality is revealed by their actions especially the one connected to what recently took place with Ukraine. Simply put “ it’s not a felony if we’re doing it to help our guys”.

Musk is why we must change our govt. While Trump and Musk are clear dangers to our democracy, Musk's threat is ultimately more serious since he is gathering ownership of essential govt services in his grasping hands: technology, internet, social media, armaments etc all of which he solely controls.

RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA I get that they have kompromat that makes trump kiss Putin's ass (trump is really into mens' asses lately) but what's in it for Elon? Obviously money, but what else would make him choose to betray Ukraine, NATO & his adopted country? Can we have DHS/ICE remove him? He's illegal!

"The president has denied ordering the restrictions." Right, so Musk suggested it; Trump said "that sounds good" but didn't actually *order* it. Makes no difference.

Why on earth does the @snp.org govt in Scotland have such extensive contracts with Musk's company. Totally idiotic to think its a good idea. The UK govt needs to step in and make them see sense.

We have a single defense contractor making foreign policy decisions and personally deciding to degrade a country's operational capability. Contractors don't make policy Contractors don't make military decisions Elon Musk is not the Commander in Chief Elon Musk is not in the chain of command

That is all true but there is no real chain and they all act as they wish. They are all complicit in this. And they will keep volleying blame until they just decide to take credit for it.

Some enter into wars for religious reasons, some seek to profit from it, some do it to protect their homes and their loved ones... Elon did it to hurt the people who caused his fake friends to disappear and cause him to have fewer 'likes'. Musk is a war criminal!

It is not normal that a single man - never mind one that often seems unhinged and with a very faulty moral compass - has so much power. It is a broken system that lets this happen. Change now.

And yet people still buy his stuff. Streets are full of his cars and some voting races are “close”. I am really asking myself how all this is possible. How can people vote Donnie in office for a second time? Still buy teslas and vote for a red candidate? Each and every election should be 80/20 blue

who's making presidential decisions? a private citizen or the president? and who is making DOD decisions? the sec def or a private citizen? who has more power? a president and a sec def or a private citizen that can act on an enemy's wish? and why are THEY asking HIM? seems like HIS subordinates

The most chilling line in your piece: with a seeming flick of a switch, one private citizen can alter the course of a war. No vote, no order, no oversight. Just a post saying Zelensky had “gone too far,” and days later Ukraine’s drones slowed down.

Elon Musk got rich off of American taxpayers - OUR money. Americans need a commitment from Democrats they WILL investigate Musk & end or severely restrict his companies' government contracts. Musk needs to be prosecuted for aligning himself with Putin & aiding Russia. #2026Midterms #2026Elections

i mean this was a dick move but also maybe your entire military infrastructure shouldn't be reliant on the whims of one weird little freak in a different country

By shutting down Starlink in Ukraine, Musk shows himself for what he truly is: calculated, malicious, and spineless when it matters most. People died. There is blood on his hands.

“But a person familiar with the situation said Musk talked to multiple senior administration officials, including with Trump, before imposing the new speed cap, which Ukrainian officials said had allowed Russian missiles to evade their defenses.”

Ukraine has shown a willingness to extend their targets beyond their borders when it's against people who have directly killed or gave orders that killed the Ukranian people. Elon should probably remember that the Ukranian people's memories are long and their abilities extend far past their borders.

IMO. He took starlink down with this. Every prospective non-US customer will think very very long about placing their comms in one person’s hands. Maybe even the US military.

With the USAID blood already staining Elmo's little hands, it looks like he is willing to add the blood of innocent Ukrainian civilians to his running body count. Musk is a duplicitous, compromised weasel and a backstabbing turncoat. 🫤

If this blame is designed to absolve Donald of culpability, then it clearly follows that Trump has abandoned control of the Presidency, giving control of the US over to non-elected parties & foreign govts. If Elon pulled this off w/o Trump’s greenlight, then Donald’s failed as potus. Out with him!

Donald can claim this was his own decision, or claim he knew nothing about it and Elon pulled this off in defiance of The President of the United States. So, Donald has ether joined with Putin, or, Donald is so weak as potus that others can easily circumvent him. Neither makes Donnie look good.

He is too undisciplined to have that much power. NASA/Pentagon should not have all or most of their eggs in Elon's basket

Yeah he doesn't care at all. With how he treated USAID and the injury rates in factories he operates, it's clear he couldn't care less about anyone if he tried.

Those are Elons toys he let Ukraine use to link defenses. Ukraine has abused elons generosity and used it to attack Russian infrastructure…. causing a shortage of oil refinery capabilities amongst other things.

Musk strolls around like Il Duce...yet he is unelected and seemingly unaccountable for his constant interference in sovereign affairs, blatant rascism, and now apparent slow down of a critical defence for Ukraine which has led to deaths. The Hague awaits.

Elon Musk is a national security threat to the US and it's allies. We're now at the stage of capitalism where the CEO of a company providing national security services to the government can decide to shut it down anytime he wants. This is alarming and shouldn't be without consequences.

We can't have some unelected chucklehead dictating our foreign policy or battle strategies just because he threw some satellites in orbit. If Lockheed Martin put in a kill switch that let them unilaterally shut down every fighter jet on a whim, the feds would already be sizing nooses.

“If” I was a conspiracy theorist I might believe that Elon and Trump we’re colluding with Putin to help Russia defeat Ukraine.

You don't need to be a conspiracy theorist, you just need to pay attention to what they say and do. Of course they support Russia against Ukraine, always have, always will. They are enemies of democracy, justice and freedom and both are liars and cowards.

One more reason not to do business with him. Will he get bold enough to disable Teslas going to anti-data center rallies?

Tilman@tilmane.bsky.social

#EU must react more fiercly now to Trump & Musk going full in pro #Putin: 1. Ban #SpaceX, #Palantir and #Oracle from future business across EU 2. Name #Kushner & #Witkoff persona non-grata and revoke Visa/Entry 3. Boycot companies and people involved in #Dieseldeal 4. Release frozen Rus assets

Dear Pentagon-dwellers: why does Musk have the unilateral ability to command Starshield, a US defense asset? (one could ask, given that he does not)

No civilian should control a product that has national security and interest implications, nationalize or buy it from him. Every carrier using Starlink is to dumb to understand dependency, except maybe Delta!

If you want to use any of Space Caligula’s products for lethal purposes, you have to pay extra for the self-driving feature.

Countries need to dump Starlink. No one man should have this much control over vital security communications, esp not a drug riddled kookoo bird.

A private citizen macro dosing on ket and spewing far right rhetoric has the power to shut down a key piece of DoD infrastructure to benefit a foreign aggressor, who is a proven national security threat. What a time to be alive.

A speed cap of 160 km/h reads like a technical footnote until you realize it grounds drones mid-mission. One owner, one overnight switch, no notice to the General Staff. One paragraph makes the case for a sovereign European satcom layer.
