The worst arguments I get into are always about the 2nd Amendment because no matter what historical fact or context you bring up, the pro-gun side thinks it means only what they want it to mean.

Law & Order Toronto CI is honestly not very good. Ridiculous plots, crimes that make no sense and main characters that are something but I'm not quite sure what.

My rule for following people of note, journalists, etc. is that once seeing them pop up in my feed makes me annoyed, I stop following them. I like being informed but I don't need the nonsense that pisses me off.

I've been watching L&O Toronto CI now that the second season is on the CW. Um, these are the most ridiculous motivations for crimes. I mean, people whose motive goes from 0 to 1000 and lands on something that requires every bit of luck to even happen.

Well, at least the Bears beat the Pats last night so that was good. On the other hand, TNF remains the dullest football broadcast I've ever watched.

JJ McCarthy is the right choice for the Giants right now. He showed something last week and I think they would've won the game had he started. Let's see how he does with a better environment than the Vikings.

Normally I'd watch Monday Night Football because last game of the week but honestly screw them for pushing Aikman out. Not that I'm a big fan of his, but don't be assholes.

Nothing makes me happier than watching the Dodgers lose.

In all honesty, I just think Shane Gillis' jokes come across as first drafts because they're not jokes. They're just statements with no punchline.

Every jackass at Pacifica radio who for years pushed this clown onto us can go pound it up their sanctimonious asses.

After that insane Trump ad that Fox TV broadcast during football, do people need more understanding that Donald Trump is a dangerous person? Fascism paid for by the U.S. Government.

My fandom started on Usenet newgroups and it was pretty bad then.

"Fandoms used to be full of nice ppl before covid and then all the bullies and popular kids joined" is literally an "the earth is flat" tier false belief to me

I used to like going to Daily Kos a lot because it felt like a community. I read the contributors work and found some community stuff and it was home. Now it definitely feels very "velvet rope" with some people on one side and everyone else in the slurry of the masses on the other.

There are days when having been the bullied shy kid then the bullied weird kid then the bullied weird adult gets to you. The sadness becomes anger and you delete accounts after saying FU to everyone.

They are now making it so that I actually feel like going back to my FIOS cable.

I have a confession to make. It's a lie when I complain how many radio ads I'm on that run on WFAN and other Audacy stations. Truth is, I love doing them and listening to myself tell people that the proper generator will help them this winter or what's coming up this week in the NFL.

Every so often TCM brings me a movie that is so out there that it's hard to believe it was made. Yesterday that film was a crime-caper from 1968 titled They Came To Rob Las Vegas. At over two hours a little long for a movie like this, but a weird ride and oddly enjoyable bad movie.

Thanks to this I listened to Macklemore for the first time and I like it. Reminds me of why I enjoyed Public Enemy and Rage Against The Machine.

Macklemore said Ed Sheeran’s “typical apolitical stance” was challenged as a result of demands from stadium owners, resulting in him being dropped from upcoming shows after he made pro-Palestine comments. Read more: https://wapo.st/4iuwyB9

Paying $4.27 a gallon for gas here in Queens, NY is just an incredible indictment of what sort of a complete imbecile Donald Trump is, aided and abetted by the Republican Party who should just change their name to Lapdog.

Anything about "that day" pops into my feed that gets past my filters is getting hidden by me. I'm sure some of it is not commercialized garbage but for me today is Friday and that's it.

This guy would kill Jesus if he showed up on his doorstep.

Robert Jeffress: "The beliefs of James Talarico are certainly wrong, but they're more than wrong. The beliefs of James Talarico are blasphemous! They are evil! And they are not beliefs that any true Christian could support ever."

Saw one of those damnable Flock cameras at the entrance to the local shopping plaza in my neighborhood. Gave it the one-finger-salute for about five minutes but had to go home.

I fucking knew...I KNEW...that today was going to turn into some sort of shit because of some crap on Daily Kos. I fucking knew it. If anyone wants to know, I don't hate groups unless you mean the entire human race. In that case, yes, I hate that group.

I'm getting tired of people on the left and Democrats acting has if I have to adhere to some orthodoxy or face their useless criticism. I don't do religions - either magical ones or politicial.

Went to my first NY Liberty game yesterday and I have to say I've hardly ever had this level of fun at a sporting event. It was joyful and communal and just the opposite of sporting events where people yell aggressively. I loved it.

At work we're forced to use the Google suite of products - mail, calendar, blah-blah-blah. Honestly, fuck them for this "Lake America" bullshit. Bunch of shit eating dogs at Google.
