And they don't even make a nice little 'ting' sound when you're nearing the end of a line

The main problem with modern laptops is the keyboards. They don't have enough travel. I want the keys to move as far as they do on my Olivetti Valentine typewriter.

Love this photo for so many reasons... but mostly because of the immense distance between it and how the opening night at the Haçienda would look if you were watching a contemporary dramatisation. The past wasn't that cool, perfect place we are constantly being sold.

Fascinating Jeremy, now tell us about the time you cut national insurance twice as an electoral game despite knowing we couldn't afford it.

Things I saw from the train: A field folded in two Water organised in lines Two farmers kissing A kissing gate The wind fighting everything Broken fields stitched together with power lines Crows tumbling through gaps in the air An archdeacon dithering A sad ghost (reflection?)

Here’s a little thing to help you remember whether the clocks go back or forward tonight. They go back.

Pubs against fascists. This is a cause I can get behind.

Danny Tommo's 'patriot platform' vigilantes were refused service in The George Inn, Portsmouth. They demanded to know why, despite the fact they do not have to be given a reason. Always make bigots feel unwelcome. Show the pub some love for doing the right thing. Things you love to see ✊❀️

What was the first car you ever dreamed of owning, and do you still want one today?

Just checked and of course, the last time there was a Commons vote on this back in 2018, Badenoch voted against the proposals to decant and get on with the restoration of the Palace of Westminster, as the cross-party joint commission had strongly recommended.

There's obviously a serious point here, but it's quite funny optics for the Conservative party to complain that it used to be so much quicker to build a stately home.

We already have flying cars. They're called helicopters. They're really expensive and there are good reasons you have to have a pilot license and work with air traffic control to fly them. Putting jets on a sedan is not going to result in a better vehicle or transportation experience in any way.
