Love this photo for so many reasons... but mostly because of the immense distance between it and how the opening night at the Haçienda would look if you were watching a contemporary dramatisation. The past wasn't that cool, perfect place we are constantly being sold.

Guardian lead yesterday - “strong indications” that Iran played a role... Andy Burnham has said. Today *crickets* have to work to even find the story. A story that was moving towards 'local idiots get caught' was suddenly a major foreign terror signalled by the Prime Minister no less.

Re-visiting Fleming's Bond novels, he regularly mentions characters 'sunburned', 'sunburnt' 'burnt and burned by the sun'. Never meaning what we understand today, red, raw, he means tanned, dark or brown, a healthy glow. Was this a general switch or just Fleming? @susiedentwords.bsky.social #Bond

He also has a habit of describing facial features as 'cruel'. Eyes and mouths in particular... I think he might even have described someone's hair as cruel once. Not sure how any of it actually works(imagine making the photofit!) but it works superbly in his style of taut paperback prose. #bond

These 'this is my tribe' t-shirts came from the US, show your favourite dog breed or that you love Harley Davidsons etc. As soon as a design took it would be duplicated. AI has made this process instantaneous. but it's been problematic for years.

A rare find at Audlem Festival of Transport... never seen a VW XL1 before! A curio from back when diesel was a possible green solution. 310 mpg was incredible. So was £120k for a 1 litre VW.

Not a lot of tme for bike pics on holiday in Morocco, but noticeable how 95%+ of bikes are C50 clones made by docker.ma - Me either, but they're everywhere! I'm assuming a Chinese Marok collab? Trad brands have had they're dinner eaten up. Fascinating to see what's getting bought en masse #MotoSky

I've realised why May's comment cuts through. He's one of 'their guys'. Also he's flipped it to a driving skills issue... go further make it into a Moto Gymkhana challenge. Who can drive at exactly 20mph through the course? Look the Stig can do it! Are you a good driver? Are you?

You know when you listen to a well loved track on different headphones and suddenly hear something new? Sat at work and Holding Out For a Hero has a great choppy guitar part in the right channel I'd never heard before... I mean its not like Jim Steinman to add layers right? RIP Bonnie Tyler
