saw my first RE movie tn. can’t decide whether Cregger was referencing Katamari or Inside but either way it’s cool to see a “real heads know” gaming reference sneak its way in. mostly made me miss Inside, a game that could be scary and gross while meaning something.

I have many theories of slop, but my current Theory of Slop is that what makes slop "slop" and not just "bad art" is that slop only ever aims to sate a desire created by past experiences of art rather than to create a new experience to be desired.

i love this account because a couple times a week i get reminded how fucking good disco elysium is and how lucky we are that it exists.

YOU - By the way, I'm a fascist. THE DESERTER - You're not. You're part of the meat shield surrounding the *real* fascists, while they rape children. That's what *you* are.

windows pcs are generally for casual users who mostly use it for web browsing and maybe a little gaming. linux is nearly identical except there's no keyboard. macs are for hardcore experts and professionals who take on the toughest tasks, such as drawing three-dimensional rectangles and squares

Get in loser, we're going to put our bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, to make it stop

it’s hard to articulate but this feels like the handful of days leading up to the COVID lockdowns when we felt everything in our lives might be about to change dramatically for the worse but didn’t want to believe it

It has been an obvious, sometimes even almost stated project of Trump 2.0 to engineer a redo of the post George Floyd protests of 2020, this time with much more state violence. And now a federal agent has shot and killed a woman in a car at point blank range a mile from where Floyd was murdered.

This sucks but I think non-Americans being justifiably angry at Americans for what the American government is doing and threatening to do, and Americans experiencing that anger and frustration personally in ways that are unpleasant, is probably an important part of any path back to stability

SEAN EVANS: kojima-san, you once said that "just like the human body is 70% water, i'm 70% percent film" what advice you have for seeing the world through the eyes of other generations and ideologies HIDEO KOJIMA: [lowering Da Bomb sauce flavored wing] does something like a "self" exist within you?

The U.S. is functionally now a pariah state and must be treated as such until the cancer rotting out the heart of the White House is cut out.

You have to go through Congress for anything resembling this type of war. Round up Massie and Paul types and have him removed. The people in this administration are on actual drugs and have insatiable bloodlust and bespoke mental illnesses. He has to go, and everybody with him.

The conviction I will take to my grave - however prematurely - is that evil can be eloquent but it cannot be intelligent. Evil shits where it eats. Evil overextends itself. Evil wages war on reality. Good luck with that. This is going to end, and then - as ever - young people will dance and build

they are not brilliant. the billionaires and institutions in this country are just more craven than we could have ever imagined, even in our most cynical imaginings. (don't tell me you could imagine. I won't give you a medal.)

The heist, "caught on film", had texture and warmth and an indescribable aura of authenticity that it would have lacked had it been shot with digital cameras.

"I'll burn down your house" - legally actionable, boring, common "I told the trees about you" - legally acceptable, foreboding, unsettling, the plants know your name and hate you
