BREAKING: We are proud to endorse anti-racist, pro-working class candidate Graham Platner for Maine Senate in the June 9 Democratic primary

Graham embodies the kind of change we believe is needed among millions of white people in this country: a shift away from militarism and racism and toward multiracial working-class solidarity that explicitly rejects racism.

As if one needed any more proof that this once legitimate organization is a cruel joke on its own name. Sad. I put years in organizing with SURJ and here they are endorsing a "former" nazi

You can leave this white person out of your white person bullshit. That man is a racist, bigoted piece of shit and that you're endorsing him proves every fucking white racist stereotype on the planet is still real.

But have you considered that he wears jeans and t-shirts and has a beard? Therefore he obviously has solidarity with workers of all races. Unlike guys who wear suits and went to fancy lily white prep suits (that Platner also went to but lets not think about that)

Which honestly hasn’t gotten nearly enough attention. I can buy someone signing up for the military then having a change of heart, not uncommon. But if the middle step between the two is “became a mercenary too”, that raises the bar of reasonable skepticism to clear a lot higher imo.

So whites should be handed Senate seats if they say the special Prog Bro buzzwords, huh No matter their other words & deeds, their background, no matter their lack of experience "You're white! You said the words! You deserve to be a Senator! Straight to the top!" - "Show Up For Racial Justice" 🤡

Conversely, why do you think it is somehow punishing him to not make him a US Senator, considering the background he has along w his zero experience? Why should he be given that powerful job, rather than countering his past by working to support those that have been DOING good work for years...?

Is the "change we believe is needed" waiting 20 years to cover up a Nazi tattoo or like is that not a big deal to Stand Up For Racial Justice?

The guy who served in the military, then worked as a private mercenary, had a Nazi tattoo and also posted on Reddit about his black people don't tip?

He quit the US military because they didn't like his Nazi tattoo and then became a mercenary for Blackwater. He just said he loved a racist, anti-Semitic podcast after a chummy interview. He's the example of not being militaristic and not being racist? Why?

sincere question... I'm not trying to be mean. do you know how fucking dumb you sound saying this about a guy who kept a Nazi tattoo for TWENTY YEARS and worked for Blackwater?? wowee wow wow wow lol

This is very disappointing and makes me reconsider my focus and time spent supporting SURJ. This is the exact kind of thing we fight against all the time, trying to keep ourselves out of this kind of fray. At the end, we just look like apologists for ”reformed” racists who haven’t done the work.

his grandpa has a wikipedia page for being a famous architect and interior designer. White guys just have to get tattoos to be 'working class'

We know electoral work is not just about casting a vote. It’s about electing candidates who are part of our movement. With Graham in the Senate, we would have someone raising issues we care about such as ICE’s brutality, saying no to war, and opposing the genocide in Gaza.

Got it so you are a Nazi organization, you must be. You are literally endorsing the dude with SS tattoos. Get outta here with that “anti racist” bullshit. The people see you for what you are.

I'm sure the mercenary who pals around with Nazis, regrets missing out on the Native American genocide, and has a giant Totenkopf tattooed across his tits is just a humanitarian who opposes war crimes and doesn't have (((other reasons))) to be fixated on Israel.

endorsing a nazi then expecting people to work for him in the name of "racial justice" is like the most white coded clown move ever just disband and stop wasting space you miserable grifters

Gaslighting instead of reality? Nothing says racial equality and a turn away from militarism than a guy who wanted to re enlist but couldn't because he wanted to keep his Nazi tattoo. I'm not ok with Nazi tattoos on US leaders, this group is.

Ah. So… the anti-racist schtick was negotiable for you, then? This man is so much of a nazi he permanently inked it on his body. Honestly, good to know so I can unsubscribe from the texts. Embarrassed I fell for it.

This is a huge unforced error that shows extremely questionable judgment by the national SURJ leadership. WTH? (& just as I was tiptoeing back into my local SURJ chapter, where I know & respect the leadership)

He was recruited by a former Fetterman campaign strategist, now part of The Fight Agency who are using the same strategy: “The Fetterman campaign provided what would become a template” His public responses are crafted by them At best he will be another Fetterman bsky.app/profile/gree...

Senator Gallego, like Fetterman & Platner, is a client of The Fight Agency TFA has a penchant for choosing people who say one thing and do another in other words, they pick skilled con artists Con artists are liars Gallego isn't really that different from Sinema, when will he go full Fetterman?

Wow, did y’all look into him first or?

This thread is not about whether Platner is a Nazi. It’s about how he lies like a toddler when he’s cornered. And that’s enough. He’s not electable, and Susan Collins knows it. You can too, if you can read this thread, or this 18-page document. 2/

In January of this year, he said he's a longtime fan of a man who uses anti-black racism to get views on YouTube. bsky.app/profile/brit...

He's on his third Nazi controversy at least, and some of you are saying that is not enough Nazi controversies to convince you there is a problem. Look inward! Platner in Jan 2026: "As a longtime fan of the show..." Valhalla VFT in October 2025, November 2025, December 2025:

This is how I find out there are TWO Graham Platners. The anti-racist one you're talking about, and the one who got a nazi tattoo. Although you appear to have used a picture of the one who got a nazi tattoo in your tweet. Easy mistake to make.

This is shameful. What kind of “anti-racist” group endorses a guy with a Nazi tattoo that he *knew* prevented him from re-enlisting when he tried to do so? Which he then *kept*? And constantly lies about? When Collins crushes him, may we never have to hear from the pod bros ever again. Or SURJ…

Let’s talk about Graham Platner’s Big Lie, finally. In 2009, at the height of the Gulf War, the Marines barred him from active duty. Platner claims it was his forearm tattoos. But his one forbidden tattoo was the Nazi symbol on his chest. He knew - and he left the Marines rather than give it up. 1/

A better question is why should anyone have to tip. Waiters should be paid a livable wage, and *if* they go above and beyond then you can tip them. Thus is why I don't go to sit down restaurants, or if I do I'm not paying.

The other thing I hate is when places like grocery stores or what not ask for tips. Fuck you, I walked around this place, picked up my own shit, and brought it all to the register, who am I tipping? The teenager that smells like weed checking me out? I have zero remorse clicking that "0%" tip button

Nazi tattoo, neonazi podcast, racist statements about Black people, misogynistic statements about women, Blackwater merc. That's all it takes for you, being a dude making angry mouth noises & a pretense of M4A?
