We are devastated to share the death of Jennifer who died this afternoon after a series of complications arising from a gastrointestinal bleed suffered last week. Jennifer had spent the last 60 years loving life and others with a full heart, a devotion to her faith, and a contiguous laugh. 1/2
Tee is wishin' she was in the PNW already... reposted
found out that my mother in law decided she was aggressively pro trans rights literally by going, I don't know anything about this but everyone who is against trans rights is also against free school lunch, the issue I know and care a lot about, so this must be the correct way to feel about this
Holy Fuck, y'all. I've been up in WA hanging out with my BFF of over 30 years, and she just unintentionally hit me with the bombshell that my parents performed an exorcism on me in my 20s. I can't remember that AT ALL.
And then my brother dropped a similar bombshell re: something else that went...
I mean, I was a little shit in my early 20s; screaming at my parents, and dating a total loser, but how about sending me to therapy, instead of telling me I was possessed by a demon??? And the worst part is that I remember one incident where Mom accused me of being possessed because I was..
... swaying in our prayer circle, and this distracting her from her prayer.
This is so fucked up. No wonder I haven't willingly set foot in a church in decades.
The good thing is that BFF is deeply spiritual, and guided me through a grounding meditation that helped me a lot.
But JFC... 😩

So I crashed hard when we got home; made myself a pillow and blanket cocoon on the couch and slept for almost 3 hours. The violation I felt was so real. I don't know how I remembered the incident long enough to tell BFF a couple years later, and then suppressed it, but this had me SHOOK...

...down at that time, and I couldn't remember that, either. JFC. 🙃
Props to my husband, though. I called and told him, and his first response was, "It obviously didn't work," and I laughed until I cried.
Get you a person who makes you laugh when the world has flipped you on your head. 😂😭😂
I used to avoid Amazon & Instacart like the plague. Today I put orders in on both sites because I'm traveling tomorrow & need stuff before I go, & am in too much pain to go out and shop for myself.
Don't take being able-bodied for granted, y'all. It can disappear in the blink of an eye.
Just received my sister's Christmas gift from @jamiesbowen.bsky.social 's shop. EXCELLENT quality, and so soft. This is my 2nd purchase from Jamie, and 10 out of 5 stars. ♥️ 🙂
If you are feeling hopeless and overwhelmed right now, please know that not only did the enormous political propaganda machine not work on you, but you are the exact kind of person we need to engage, raise your voice, vote, and speak truth to power.
We need you. Do not give up.
After voting to take $1 TRILLION out of Medicaid and $500 BILLION out of Medicare, Republicans are starting to realize that their blind loyalty to Trump is going to cost them in November.
Californians' lives are not expendable in Donald Trump's unhinged, reckless war in Iran.
This is yet another callous comment from the tyrant in the White House who dragged the American people into a war that we do not want.
Hmmm...got an email today from VoteTexas.gov saying that I'm eligible to vote by mail since I'm disabled (have the placard and everything). Thoughts on whether or not this is a good idea? I'm leaning towards no, but maybe if I drop it off early I won't have to stand in line?
And technically, you can pull up to the disabled parking spot, call a number, and someone will bring a ballot out to you, but look, I'm still dealing with being in my 50s and needing a walker... 😭😭😭
Okay, I saw a day full of what scared us as kids.
What media has scared you LATELY?!
I think my last squirm in my seat, crawling-spine things were the Weeping Angels.
Just finding this gif gave me the creeps.
"Don't blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe."

Folks… I’m begging you. If you’ve been sitting on the bench, get in the game!
Last year I said 2026 would be a repeat of 2006 and is shaping up to be just that!
Our grassroots donors have been giving what they can. Our candidates are working their hearts out.

If I get disappeared, y'all, it's this dork's doing. 😂😂😂
For context, he was pro-doxxing Jane Doe, and told someone to look him up. I did that to save everyone time. 😀
Also, how far the AF has fallen...
Life is weird, & will throw you curveballs when you least expect it.
I'm back in TX now. When I got to FL, it became apparent that my Mom & Dad could no longer live on their own, despite the support from my brother & brother in law (as they both work full-time) since Mom now needs 24/7 care.
...and packed everything up. Then I flew home Wednesday evening, & my brother & parents started the drive back home that night.
This wasn't remotely what we had planned, but it was the reality that presented itself and that we had to deal with. It's good to be back home with Tony...
...and away from the stress of the past three-ish weeks, but I'm sad that it had to happen like this. I guess parents do eventually age to the point where we need to take care of them, & it sucks just as much as everyone said it would.
On the bright side, at least it's not 100 degrees in TX anymore

So my brother who lives in KY flew down last Monday, & we all decided that instead of moving to the PNW with us in a few months, that Mom & Dad would be returning to KY to live with my brother & his family.
The decision was made on Monday, Tuesday we found a mover, & Wednesday the mover came...
I hate the fact that we are in the Zohran echo chamber, and Mayors like Brandon Scott are ignored.
Baltimore might not be NYC, but that man is putting size 12 foot in the asses of crime and potholes, while improving Baltimore.
Black Man Excellence.
Well damn, I've now been back online long enough to learn what a hijab inspired secular accessory is. Maybe it's time to log off and go drink some (oat) milk since I'm part Irish. 🙂
