In fact I will say the Earnest and Pious Charismatic Ethnic Minority political figure (AOC, Mamdani, El-Sayed) has been a pretty good bet for the American left so far, whereas the Disaffected Gruff White Guy Showcasing True Masculinity (Fetterman, Platner) has been a worse bet. Just an observation.

Yeah start insinuating he has morning chai rather than coffee, say that he knocks things for 6 rather than hits a home run, allege that he is generally a clean living good boy who loves his mother and prays every Friday (pejorative).

it must be SO refreshing to get to pretend to be outraged about something totally benign that Obama said or did. Pure nostalgia, very soothing i imagine

as much as im sure they love seeing the implimentation of Nazism in this country deep down their true desire is to be a whiny little piss baby about everything. For them, winning actually kinda sucks for myriad reasons, so this has gotta be a very welcomed throwback

i feel like flies dont have the have juice they used to. i smack em with my hand all the time now, i never used to be able to get those motherfuckers. maybe im just older and developed the skill but im gonna say its chem trails or something, maybe get some chuds on one about it

im hereby retiring these words and their variations for tech bros: sentience, consciousness, mind, thought, meaning, and truth

If the golem becomes ensorcelled, the coven may need to assume operational burdens related to ensorcellation and the golem’s fel status. This may cost extra mana points.

yes, the world is a series of hyperbarically sealed societies. Nothing that happens anywhere else has any bearing on me.

Yes well it does require things like “empathy” and possessing a basic understanding that all of our lives are interconnected

Who’s actually done more to combat the rise of technofascism in America? The Democratic Party (collaborators) or Bryce Underwood (stole $10M from Larry Ellison). Bryce Underwood sucking ass at quarterback is actually praxis and direct action. You wouldn’t know about that

I got a recording of him dictating this tweet, my partial transcription: "uh... live by the... i mean if you are gonna....uh...live by the sword..youll probably...like, die by it"

this is a prime opportunity to get the nation used to the idea of nationalizing industry, particularly the defense industry

To make polyamory really "work" means reinterpreting what we mean when we say we "love" someone, because it cant mean the same thing for someone grounded in a monogamous culture

open relationships may be more viable with our current understanding because there is no obligation besides sex. but of course this is also fraught

communal understanding of polyamory. One might be created over time (a longer time than people may think), but if you are one of the architects of a new vocabulary prepare to hurt or be hurt, because people scarcely understand what theyre getting into

i think most peolle in "polyamorous relationships" want roomates to fuck, basically, with some mutual obligations outside of sex. However, i think our notions of romantic love involve some sort of giving-of-yourself which is all-or-nothing. It's a commitment that cant he divied up

Theres nothing "wrong" with polyamory, but you cant extricate yourself from the monogamous culture you grew up in. Our entire understanding of intimacy, romantic love and sex is wrapped up in an ethic thay you may not agree with or want, but you are of it. We don't have a developed vocabulary or...

this isnt me being a smart ass, this title (and the subtitle) implies the entire framing and its bullshit. i usually like Wired but i guess qll the publications have an obligation to run asinine Atlantic level drivel now and then

im really not trying to be too cool for school here, but we exist in a reality where there have been monumental technological accomplishments in pretty quick succession for like 250 years. Once you go to the moon a car with some thrusters 60 years later isnt really moving me

now new forms of social organization? that would fill me with awe. a world that attended to the needs of people and not capital, that would truly move me

you cant visually awe me, i grew up with fucking Jurassic Park. i don't think a guy like this appreciates that when new tech is the norm more new tech, no matter how much it conforms with our sci-fi expectations, actually isnt that incredible - it's par for the course! unremarkable, even

sure, man, California, spend your time and energy there

BREAKING: The DOJ sued California after a 48-hour deadline to review 20k noncitizens it alleged are illegally registered to vote. Why California? It's Trump's greatest threat because of its 52 House seats — a key for Democrats to take back the chamber. Stay in the know: https://demdock.com/3T3Owjg

this is great but i cant help but feel cringe when something this trivially obvious needs to be explained to the media and the public. The state of our political discourse is so base that "we can criticize leaders we are aligned with" is groundbreaking. what a pathetic state of affairs
