Last night's dreams were twisted and involved, but the last thing I remember before waking up was that I had a terrarium full of various snails I was caring for, and I had it on a rise on the ranch I was tending at the base of a mountain range. They liked it.

Watch Duty launched five years ago today. Since then, wildfires have become more frequent and in places that have never experienced wildfire before. The scale of wildfire and disasters is rising. We're growing to meet the challenge in ways we couldn't have imagined five years ago.

Camped at the top of a mountain and instead of hiking (because still recovering), parked my hiney under a tree and read for a week. Back in civilization and still chewing through books. Missed this.
