why? imagine for a moment there are people who know nothing about this game and are none the wiser after reading all the other replies so far

i watched streamer play this first time in my life this year and i was shook how bad it was 😭 literally flabbergaster bc wdym it has cult following, there are cheap mocumentaries in Poland with better plot and hcaracter

DUDE YOURE THE 1ST PERSON I SEE TALKING ABOUT THIS GAME IT WAS SO FUCKING GOOD The amount of hours i spent working on Dont Move maps with rotation glitches...

I was sadly too slow to share this warning with a streamer I watch. And now he's playing it. I am in agony.

I know it's not the biggest issue with the game, but if Ethan is supposed to be an architect why does he spend that one scene screaming about JSON?

Perfectly summarized. It's a shame, because the story should have been the good part, considering the rest is just a very beautiful QTE. Average games with a great twist leave a great impression (SH shattered memories), but a bad conclusion can taint them, and boy did it happen with heavy rain! 🥲

I wasn't a fan of Heavy Rain either, so perhaps this is the right thread to ask: did you (or anyone else reading this) ever play Twin Mirror? I'm not sure if they're actually similar, but ... well, I'm aiming to play all of Don't Nod's games, and the mixed reviews for that one have me nervous.

I played it for the first time last year. Love how goofy-serious it is. Winning a fight against a frighteningly large man with Nahhman Jayden will never not be funny to me. Or Madison's chapters playing like some avoid rape simulator.

This makes me wonder what the heavy rain of the future will be. (Game that is well received when it comes out, but later everyone agrees it kinda sucks)

I remember really liking Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy when I was a teenager, and when Heavy Rain came out, I got it day one, and it made me realize to never look forward to anything David Cage makes.

Unless you're some kind of game streamer, that is. No greater joy than watching someone bumble through Quantic Dream games for the first time, except maybe Deadly Premonition

some say this is what inspired kojima to make piss a core part of the story and game mechanic in death stranding
