If you want to get rich betting on which NFL players will get injured in the 1st half of MNF each week, you just need to check my fantasy roster.

Tesla drivers are definitely the type to completely ignore "Bridge Out Ahead" signs.

is one of those situations “DAMMIT i’m in a michael bay movie again”

Gemini ads are hilarious because they're like, "we have a worse version of Rocket Money" or "we warn you about undercoating inflating your new car price," a thing that has been a punchline in car dealership jokes my whole life. We're at "the cow goes moo" levels of insight here.

I hate TV ads that use the fake low-budget bad audio aesthetic to pretend they are not, in fact, a professional TV ad.

I started a new game in Dragon's Dogma 2 in prep for the DLC and forgot you character's size determines carrying capacity...

This is exactly like the time they cancelled my life insurance because they said I wasn't dying often enough.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Dr Oz says the Trump administration will kick more than a million people off health insurance because some of them have "never filed a claim"

I can't wait until the settlement checks start rolling in from every streamer that forces pre-roll ads in their "ad free" subscription tiers.

IGN@ign.com

Disney+ has altered its user agreement to clarify that ads will be allowed on all subscription tiers. https://bit.ly/4hhOjBo

Remember at peak crypto advocates would say you don't have to worry about the environmental impact because they were all going to switch to proof of stake instead of using GPUs, and I would point out the people who bought millions of GPUs would just find another scam using them? I feel so vindicated

The second Gundam Hathaway movie finally came out on Netflix last weekend. I have to say it’s very funny that Hathaway’s defining characteristic is basically always being sooo horny it’s really effecting his work performance.

Trump has literally done more damage to DC than the Red Hulk does while rampaging in the last Captain America movie.

Sabrina McDaniel 🌊💙@sabrina-mcdaniel.bsky.social

` 60+ Cherry Trees were cut down in DC to make way for a golf course for Trump. This act violated a court order. They did it anyway because the law doesn’t apply to this administration. These trees were gifted to the American people by Japan in 1912. More destruction by a criminal government.

You spend the first 30 hours of FFVII: Revelation using the Mako vacuum. It would be shorter, but they make you play as Cait Sith so everything takes three times as long as it should..

Let me guess: they want people to have heard of them.

Why a publisher you've probably not heard of is spending millions of dollars on its Gamescom presence https://bit.ly/4ij8919

This is what happens when you ask Grok for a plan to make your data centers safe from Molotov coctails.

Will Koehler@willk3d.com

At a time people are asking "isn't all this build-out too expensive?" SpaceX asks "what if every gram of it had to be lifted into space?"

AI techbros are like "we've invented the synthetic butthole. It mashes up food and shits 24 hrs a day. A normal employee only shits once a day! We're building hyperscaler defecation centers in every city and bought all the food production futures. The entire global economy now runs on fake shit."

"Do not cite the Deep Recipe to me, I was there when it was seasoned!" --Morton Salt Girl.

Bet you didn't know that the Little Morton Salt Girl is an immortal being who existed before there was life on Earth.

Counterpoint: Trump is not capable or introspection OR friendship. His eulogy will simply be an offensive, incoherent rally for himself just like every other time he speaks on a stage.

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

Publicly and privately, President Trump has been musing about aging and fate after his friend Lindsey Graham’s sudden death. Trump is scheduled to deliver a eulogy for the South Carolina Republican today at Washington National Cathedral.

I hear Lindsay Graham died because he was checking on Mitch McConnell and climbed too far into the cremation chamber while it was active.

He's the special kind of dead where you stop breathing, your heart doesn't beat, but you get to keep your Senate seat in Republican hands.

This post is unavailable.

The last Captain America movie has the President turn into a Red Hulk, go on a rampage across DC, and he still does way less damage to the White House and Capitol Mall than Trump has just being himself.

When you need to get a refund or something from Amazon now the first robot you deal with will check the form you filled out, decide it's above their pay grade and send you to a supervisor, who is now also a robot. And somehow this robot gets paid more than the human it replaced ever did.

This is like removing a healthy lung in an attempt to save a necrotic foot. Microsoft has an extremely successful publishing business chained to disastrously unsuccessful hardware platform business. You could fix Xbox by simply realizing you need to stop making Xboxes.

Jason Schreier@jasonschreier.bsky.social

BREAKING: Several Xbox studios, including Compulsion, Ninja Theory and Double Fine, are negotiating with Xbox as they try to avoid closure. Some or all could spin off. Lots still in flux as many studios remain unsure about what's happening. Here's the latest: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

Did the release of The Office on DVD cause a decline in birth rates over the last two decades? An AI generated paper my editor found in his spam folder explores the phenomenon.

Are smartphones causing people to have fewer children? A provocative new working paper explores the persistent drop in birth rates since the iPhone was introduced nearly two decades ago.

I just think it's interesting that the same day the owner of X becomes a trillionaire, Microsoft starts looking for a person to buy Xbox.

I know my plan to execute all billionaires is controversial. I'm willing to start slow with a pilot program where we execute trillionaires, seize their wealth for the common good, and you will be able to see the benefits to this policy.

NEW: Regulators have linked Mark McAfee’s raw dairy farm to more than a dozen recalls and outbreaks that left hundreds of people ill. “I’ve put a couple kids in the hospital,” McAfee said. “But here’s the thing: I’m a pioneer.”

Imagine being handed the keys to a 120 billion dollar game publishing business and the only idea you have is to destroy half its value to mollycoddle about 200 of the stupidest assholes on twitter.

Watching the God of War: Laufey thread on resetera eat itself alive because so many had bullet lists prepared of things to complain about, none of which are accurate to what was shown, so half is people going "boss baby vibes MCU" and the other half are going "wtf are you talking about?!?".

At this point all I can tell when someone complains about "MCU-style writing" is that they have no frame of reference for media that extends outside the MCU. They are always complaining about standard writing conventions dating back hundreds of years.

I could show these people Casablana and they'd find a way to blame Joss Whedon for the "inappropriate tone". God help us is they accidentally find out about Rosencrantz and Guildenstern.

One person said it needed to be less anachronistic and jokey, and more serious like the Lord of the Rings movies. Setting aside how this badly misrepresents the Laufey demo, the Lord of the Rings movie literally has a dwarf tossing joke in every installment. Gimli is treated as an engine for jokes.

I like how Marvel's Wolverine for PS5 is an entire game based on that moment in X2 when Hugh Jackman impaled that guy against the fridge.

Every once in a while I think, "I should play a Dragon Quest game." And then I look at the characters and make that noise Sideshow Bob makes after stepping on a rake.

When Trump was floating the idea of selling Gold Citizenship cards for millions all I could think was: "that would be a lot of money to spend on something some racist cop will just tear up in front of you because you are not white."

Another reminder: if there exists *any* class of people who don't have due process rights, then *nobody* actually has due process rights because the government can always just say you're in that class.

Sometime I think about how weird it is that Days Gone sold almost as much as the best selling Halo game ever, but that wasn't enough for Sony to pursue a sequel, while Microsoft is deathly afraid to stop making Halo games.

Was chatting about this during an interview with an author, but it was interesting enough that I’d like to open up the question to all of you: what’s the first literary/fictional death that made an impression on you as a kid? Mine has to be poor old Mary Lennox’s family in The Secret Garden.

I'd be very concerned about the mental health of any teenage girls forced to interact with RFK Jr, as well.

Raw Story@rawstory.com

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. raised eyebrows this week on his government podcast, "The Secretary Kennedy Podcast," when he veered into an unsolicited observation about the mental health of teenage girls — and how often he's apparently around them.
