Apparently I'm here now. But still also there, at least for a while. Ageing nerd. I write iTunes Scripts for Windows and hang out at Apple Support Communities troubleshooting issues with iTunes. Love going to gigs and clubs.

Some people are given space. Others are given expectations. This cartoon is 13 years old. Once in a while someone tells me they've seen it around but they had no idea it was mine. Yep!

found out that my mother in law decided she was aggressively pro trans rights literally by going, I don't know anything about this but everyone who is against trans rights is also against free school lunch, the issue I know and care a lot about, so this must be the correct way to feel about this

I know you should expect anything in the middle of Lidl … but I don’t think anyone expects own-brand automotive anti-pine marten spray!!! FYI there’s plenty left in the Abingdon branch.

I think 'the Tiger in the Tiger Who Came To Tea is an analogy for your mum having an affair' is my absolute favourite 'this absolutely isn't what the author meant, the author has disavowed it, but it is just about plausible' way-too-serious reading of a children's book. What's yours?

She wrote all that code by hand and it landed on the moon. Such an iconic photo. Here’s to Margaret Hamilton (1936–2026). What an incredible and pioneering woman for science. An inspiration to us all. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Fascinating fact: I worked on 'Playschool' in 1971 as a trainee BBC TV and radio producer/director. I wrote and directed 6 editions of 'Playschool' before moving to BBC Schools TV.

The incredibly right Joe Lycett is still the only good guest to go on Laura Kuenssberg's show. He nearly got her fired, and she hates being reminded of it, so don't RT. #bbclaurak

I couldn’t give a flying fuck about flags. Don’t define your identity by a bit of coloured fabric or the colour of your skin. Your identity is the friendships and relationships you make, the music, art and culture you engage with, your relationship with the terroir, the heimat.

I’m thinking we should reclaim the word “patriot”. Fascist thugs aren’t patriots: they’re fascist thugs. They don’t love their country, they love bullying, intimidation and violence. I love this country, and I want it to be better: I want greater equality, tolerance, respect and an end to poverty.

This stopped me in my tracks. An independent study by @qmul.bsky.social has found that after ULEZ was introduced, children’s lungs grew faster in Central London and have now caught up with children outside of the capital. Incredible.

Air pollution stunts children’s lung growth. New Queen Mary research found that improvements in air quality after the introduction of London’s ULEZ are associated with accelerated lung growth in children. Read more: shorturl.at/Jx86o
