One can't make anything without making mistakes. Its a required part of the creative process. Nothing can be learned without the teacher and students both making mistakes along the way. A sea of ignorance is nothing more than a group of people unwilling to make mistakes along the way.

holy shit what a day, friend broke up after like 4.5 year relationship. So spent entire day(noon to 7pm) with him drinking to help him out. I am lucky my body can handle this much alcohol somehow, but jesus christ ahhhhhhh.

I see we're having a debate about whether it's okay to go back to "X," the site owned by a trillionaire fascist who is currently bankrolling the GOP's midterm, throttled Ukraine's war effort, and still winkingly allows vast amounts of CSAM on his service Answer: No, what the fuck is wrong with you

Constantly wanting to do things, but you just can't figure out how to get your brain to actually do them. Forcing myself without meds just results in my getting very sleepy. And ye memory issues suck, can pass a lot of exams or remember people's names even if you care about them a lot.

If you have ADHD (diagnosed or very strong suspicion) I have a question for you What ADHD symptom/quirk/characteristic has been the most detrimental to your life to date? For me, it’s my challenge w attention to detail & my terrible memory. I’ve lost more jobs than most ppl work their whole lives

Poll reveals that 50% of young Britons would never fight for UK under any circumstances. Cue meltdown on talk radio stations and X. Well at least that's down on the 60% who said the exact same in an Oxford Union debate in 1933. Because... guess what kids... people don't want to fight in wars.

the "adapt or die" people failed to consider the secret third option of forming a neoluddite community where I'm selling my latest video game on usb sticks in a little lemonade stand

I felt this as someone that forgets their own name sometimes.

may I recommend being terrible with names when it comes to being supportive during a transition zero percent chance my brain remembers anyone’s deadname for more than five minutes once given permission to forget it

Thank you @jemmaforte for saying it like it is. 👏 Extreme inequality is a doom-loop, if we don't tackle it soon it will continue to drive our economy to stagnation & make a mockery of our democracy.

Never thought I'd actually like a pope this much.

I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:

Fact dev can't just disable a sale themselves blows my mind ngl. Like I get they're part of the autumn thingy, but still, you should at least be able to just disable it for now or something. Also how the heck does it get set to 80% instead of 20% by accident? What.

Fact I can get giga depressed from fictional stories is just so dumb when you think about it. The characters dying aren't real dammit, so why is it so sad :(

there's a type of Guy who believes crunch is inevitable and it's always the same guy: * leader who started on small, crunch-heavy teams * no experience working anywhere that takes production seriously * doesn't know how to leave room in a schedule, convinced last minute panicking is the only way

my mother is something else... Falls while walking dog and almost breaks arm. 2 days later, falls out of bed and hurts other arm... as uncle roger would say fuyioh(while facepalming)...

Me: Buys silicone mold thing to put rice in freezer for easy re-use since convincing myself to cook rice in rice cooker is hard lately(cleaning it is a pain). Brain: I don't want to use it, then I'll have to cook more rice. oauisjdoiajsd9oawsjid

quick everyone start sending emails with phrases like "pedos belong in prison" every few sentences.

If you have a Gmail account, you need to read this. Google's AI now scans your emails and attachments, bank statements, tax files, medical letters, all of it. It turned on by default, and there's a class-action lawsuit over how. Here are 5 moves to shut it off, the switch is hidden in two places:

My most consistent Boomer opinion is that I want a menu at a restaurant. I do not want to scam the code on my phone. I want to put my phone down while I'm out.

bros, just had this game idea. Grocery Battle Royale. Fighting each other for the final items of purchase in some sort of TV show. Imagine throwing cabbages and oranges at each other and fighting over the last few pieces of toilet paper. Hmmmm

huh I don't need bread, I can just put chicken on a slice of cucumber and tomatoe with mayo for the chicken sandwich experience without the calories.

Brian Thompson had blood on his hands. He was responsible for the deaths of millions of people. If he hadn’t died, he would have lived out the rest of his life in peace because murder is legal in the United States as long as it’s done by a corporation or the police (ACAB)

Pop Base@popbase.tv

Luigi Mangione has admitted to shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson: ““After years of enduring severe pain from a broken back... I learned UnitedHealth would be holding an investor conference in New York City. […] I shot Mr. Thompson in the back. I knew what I was doing was illegal.”

Not to be some wild-eyed innocent, but I think it should be slightly bigger news that The Lancet have crunched the numbers and found that Musk's USAID cuts will kill 14 million people. And that's just by 2030. That's 9,600 people a day, every day, until the next world cup rolls around.
