Nostalgia Ninja

Hiya, I'm Nostalgia Ninja! I'm a 3D artist VTuber making low-poly stylized models in Blender. I work during the week and stream games and art over the weekend. I'm inspired by Puyo Puyo Chronicle, my favorite game! Pleased to meet ya~! Let's explore the magic of memories!

I'm late with schedule and it's bedtime. I'll make schedule post later today. Then that Elden Beast is going down. I got it down to 20%. I know I'm close.

When trans creators are subtle, people dismiss the trans subtext as “headcanon.” When trans creators are loud and proud, people call it “obnoxious” and “cringe.” They just don’t want us to be represented in media at all. Because they don’t want us to exist at all.

Actions speak louder than words, personally I was in talks with Epic to get all my game assets on their Fab.com marketplace (for free) but cancelled the deal immediately. If they want slop, let them have slop.

Oh no... I'm stuck at the Elden Beast.

Shit that would drive me over the edge of my sanity. Literally is nothing sacred anymore?

Thought the term was called "rapid prototyping" and was a means of getting fun ideas of games you want to make... Game jams are an example of rapid prototyping and no- I don't like or use Generative AI.

Kill them with indifference. Ostracize them. We've wasted enough time telling them they're wrong. Invest that time in your community.

I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

also why would you automate one of the most fun and invigorating phases of development?

Can't sleep... Mind has been driving me insane and I can't rest in 32 degree weather. Yay! (ugh)

Happy brithday, us :D

the fact our website (and forum) is getting up into "internet old one" age is... it's a weird feeling. i say that a lot, but it's genuinely not something a lot of other people get to feel, so it's hard to describe...

Politics hits different when you're an "issue" instead of a citizen

Got a little annoyed at a tool again - a lot of blender addons trying to add WASD style movement were 1,500+ lines and getting it wrong. Unreal-like movement with panning, WASD nav and camera smoothing. controls configurable. GPL.💖 #blender #unrealengine #gamedev 🔗 codeberg.org/shaderwitch/...

Between Tim Sweeney being an absolute AI chud and the harassment of our beloved @kenney.nl, we've decided to cancel our previously announced Epic Games Store release for Shape Sender Deluxe 🚮

More #Twitch related phishing spam going around. This one looks like a copyright claim. It's a little laughable to me since I'm keenly aware of the audio that goes out on my stream unless it's in a game. No music at all goes out to the Twitch VOD. So a claim from 2 months ago makes no sense. 😒

youtu.be/SYo3npPFV0M VOD of the stream I had on AltStream last night is up on Youtube. Has me working on the Photo Album and a water bottle. Stopped afterwards because networking issues stopped me.

I make sounds by hand, with no AI, just because I love doing it. If you fancy picking up some SFX, all my packs are 15% off for the Halloween sale over on Itch! 🎃 Any and all support goes right back into making more! Thank you so much for the love so far! 💜 itch.io/s/205411/hal...

@bsky.app you've been vibecoding and didn't account for the clocks going back didn't you

Who knew I'd be spending my Sunday evening weight painting and rigging the photo album model from last night's stream? #blender3d

💙Remember when you hear some dumb shit about a trans creator, chances are it was started by kiwifarms. Do your research, stop just believing accounts that post whatever.

THE INTERNET

please never feel bad if your work doesn't get much traction on here it is not a reflection of your skill, the heart that went into it, or even the amount of people who would love your work if they saw it draw for yourself and it will never have been a waste of time or effort

Remember Picasa from the previous decade? It was quite popular before Google killed it and replaced it with Google Photos. Here is an open source image viewer for Linux that recreates the Picasa experience with modern file format support.

Something that's really funny about Tim Sweeney's crusade against AI disclosures on Steam is that he has proven himself to be uniquely inept at running a pc games store Like why would Valve care what he thinks about their business when he took a swing for them and missed completely

i always appreciate support in any way, especially fanart and people in my chat :0000

It's very, very funny to live rent-free in people's heads. I'm gonna go back to playing my silly games and editing my silly videos now 👍

This is Chat Culture 101. IF a streamer mentions another streamer it's okay, but don't bring other streamers into the current streamer's chat. It makes the current streamer feel like they're not important to you and makes them feel like they are competing against others instead of working together.

Scarlet Sisters Up Smash! 🦇

Got Touhou Imperishable Night music playing while I set up for today. Wanted something more... dramatic while I go about my day today. Been listening to a lot of Touhou music as of late...

The Jack-o'-Flantern looks so good lit up!!

legit question for all of you: what do you think are my "defining traits" as a vtuber/streamer/content creator? is it being based on an animal no one can pronounce correctly? is it my action and narrative game streams? linux user maybe? like what do you think when you see a stream of mine pop up?

Imagine waking up, not seeing a single AI slop poster online or on a shop window, not hearing about AI all day, and no app on your phone pushing AI junk in your face. Those were the days.

A parasite inevitably weakens and brings down whatever it's feeding off. #AI is parasitic by design.

revisiting Umurangi in the wake of Penguin Colony. Wonder if this game's about anything

35th anniversary of Puyo is precisely today

general advice: if you piss someone off, and you know you did wrong & shouldn't have said anything -even- if their reaction seems disproportionate, or perhaps -especially- so.. ..take the note and get lost. you will only make it worse by turning birthday boy about it.

Fellow @obsproject.com users! Two important things. You don't HAVE TO update immediately! You especially don't have to update *right before stream*. That's a bad idea! Secondly, if you run into bugs, especially new crashes: please report them! I'm working hard to fix any browser-related bugs ASAP.
