I appreciate that people want a new Mass Effect, but the future where fans advocate for the work itself and not the people who make it is the one the vultures at EA want. If you'll take it however you get it, they can keep treating people who make what you love as expendable.

Steak done via this method because while I love the slower methods, sometimes I simply cannot be bothered when I want it faster but still cooked properly.

A neighbor nearby is practicing their saxophone and it sounds glorious carried across the early evening fall air.

I feel a small "gamer grump" coming on from the seeming onslaught of "genre overload" game pitches I'm getting. I do not want to tidy up a massive shop, I don't want to run a simulated shop nor do I want to check credentials at an entry gate. Shit talk incrementals all you like, but that's my jam.

One of my favorite aspects of the #TwilightZone time-travel episodes like "Back There" and "Of Late I Think of Cliffordville" is the reinforcement of, "No, you can't go back in time and change what you wanted to change, however… other things may change anyway." Butterfly effect but not for thee.

Also, Julie Newmar is the best OG Twilight Zone Devil. All shade to Burgess Meredith who is great, but she's amazing. However, shout out to the modern episode "Poker Night" which handled it in a really fun way. 💖

This is the truly frustrating thing. A company, organization, website, platform, etc. will frame itself as an "AI alternative from the big evil ones" and then slowly head towards the same destination. I get it, I know that perhaps soon there won't be any place to avoid it, but jeez…

I also don't like the slow creeping shift that people who aren't into AI aren't being "left behind" but that we're just weird stubborn "haters". (Which, yes, obviously.) "You don't want a cutesy little Teletubby like agent having total access to your bank account to order you Taco Bell? Weirdo." 🙄

Not this "FedEx" spam email calling me "Dear," like the AI agent got confused between its own romance and delivery scams. 😂

I believe that if your company undergoes layoffs during a set amount of time after a sale or acquisition, there should be some kind of massive financial penalty or forced restitution. You can afford to buy a company, but you can’t afford the staff? Then you can’t afford to buy the company.
