If you ever want proof that "blue Monday" in January is a made up media thing, just cast your mind back to when it goes dark so early after we put the clocks back

This is quite extraordinary. I don't think I have heard a more coherent, articulate and accurate deconstruction & demolition of Nigel Farage's ReformUK, Tory & Restore policy than this. In under 85 seconds! @rafaelbehr.bsky.social is on here folks and worth a follow.

"ADHD label risks lifelong harm to children." If you don't label the disorder, then what we will be labelled instead is "Lazy." "Underachiever." "Doesn't live up to their potential." "Bad student." Those labels come with pain, shame, and abuse. The ADHD label comes with a chance for support.

1. The independent Taskforce — commissioned by NHS England, backed by government — concluded ADHD is under-diagnosed, under-recognised and under-treated in the UK. Not over. The press has reported the reverse of the finding www.thetimes.com/uk/healthcar...

Every room in my house is 20° or hotter. The heating hasn't been on in months. The bedroom window has been open constantly since the last heatwave day finished. It's October. The Labour government won't rule out more oil drilling. #VoteGreen is the only sensible action in #HolbornAndStPancras

Just finished my re-read of Seveneves. Definitely one of the best sci-fi novels I've read. And I await meeting someone named Sonar Taxlaw in due course

If LeBron or Taylor Swift posted this most recent El Niño historical temperature graph (current one in red) 500 million people would be in the streets. (And a hundred million lives would likely be saved in the next 20 months) #ClimateCrisis

First time in months I've felt like staying under the covers because it's 'cold' outside. It just shows what a ridiculously long hot spell we've had in the past few months.

This should be front and centre in the news and all political decisions. Very hard to believe in a future right now

Breaking News! Code: FUBAR!!! The preliminary Nino 3.4 sea-surface temperature for September 25th was 29.822°C. This breaks the previous highest temperature ever recorded in the region of 29.815°C, set on November 17th, 2015. The Climate 8-ball is exiting, stage right.

You always think Reform has displayed all their stupidly to us...and yet somehow we're always wrong.

Reform's Jaymey McIvor says 'English people are claiming asylum in the Home Counties' due to 'out of control immigration'. 'Did they not just move house?' Shelagh Fogarty asks him.

Latest infuriating office slang is "socialising an issue" when in old money we'd just have discussed it. GrandpaSimpson.jpg

Andy Burnham says this whilst sitting on the most aggressive anti-protest laws of our lifetimes, which have been used to arrest and charge nuns for holding signs protesting a genocide.

Hi @dannychambers.bsky.social since you're an MP from Hampshire, can you please ask Andy Burnham in parliament why the actions of the balaclava-wearing goons in Portsmouth isn't being treated as domestic terrorism? Thanks.

Emma Yeomans@yeomans.bsky.social

The RNLI has said the abuse of volunteers in Portsmouth has forced it to close the lifeboat station there and stop operating since September 10. Nearby stations have been providing cover to the area instead. One of the UK's largest coastal cities without a lifeboat because of the far-right.
