Do you, too, want the internet to be better — and have some ideas for making it happen together? Great post *and* a great example of our new "replies" block in @leaflet.pub! Reply with your own blog post (Leaflet or any @standard.site post) to extend the conversation in the atmo/blogosphere!

The last couple of months have been filled with conversations that have me more excited about the future of the internet than I've been in 20 years.

Would you look at that!

Webnerd.ai now supports Standard.site, @skyreader.app and @standard-reader.app across feed discovery, PDS ingestion, endorsements, and subscription syncing. Thanks for the push @captaincalliope.at!

Does it support @standard.site too? Ive been really enjoying @skyreader.app and @standard-reader.app these past months. Its really exciting and heartwarming to see rss reader innovation happening again!

Sign in and verify via ORCID and OpenAlex for the best experience. Lea is in open beta and is built by @eugenevinitsky.bsky.social and me. It's powered by the AT Protocol, so your social network on Bluesky already exists on Lea, and we can leverage it for the features you see above!

Jim Ray reposted

I sure did! It's an incredibly fast and light link aggregator, all data on protocol. It's got Bluesky post backlinks, upvotes, comments, all that good stuff. Let me know what features you'd like to see!

All I see on Bluesky right now: Ko-fi, Patreon, PayPal, Substack buttons 😅 No complaints. People leaving X built Bluesky's first wave. Creators who can make a living here will build the next one.

SW friends, OnlyFans and Fansly profile links should work now! Refresh or force-quit and reopen your app a couple times so you get the update

alex benzer@alexbenzer.com

some folks reported not being able to use certain adult-focused platforms (like onlyfans and fansly) — there was an internal miscommunication and these were accidentally added to the list of disallowed domains. this is now fixed! but you may need to refresh your app to get the update. 💙

NNW is one of my longest and most-used apps, this is amazing (for me personally at least)

Tim Disney@disnetdev.com

You can now use @skyreader.app in other clients that support the FreshRSS API like NetNewsWire, Reeder, etc! Works for RSS, newsletters, and @standard.site publications. Subs, read status, and saves all stay in sync. See the docs for getting it set up: docs.skyreader.app/guide/other-...

Okay so can we use this to move people over to @mu.social and @eurosky.social or @blackskyweb.xyz or @transrights.northsky.social Like advertise your web and mobile apps under this post. Plug that you support this & let's use this momentum to start migrating people to other clients/PDS/appviews.

What @freemix.fm is doing is so ambitious, well executed from the jump, and just so freaking *cool*. They created an entire music platform with a built-in sharing and licensing system, all on atproto. You gotta see it.

Joshua Iz@joshuaiz.com

It started with a dream 20 years ago... 10 months of work with a lot of help from the AT Proto community, Bluesky, and friends. FreeMix is live!!! Open to all and all genres welcome. Free to join. I can't wait to see what you create. (oh and some exclusive tracks by me ready to be remixed)

For anybody old enough to remember an "iPad" is like a big iPhone Duo that doesn't fold in half unless you *really* want it to.

Also new in today’s v1.136 update: iPad support! One of our most-requested features is finally here in beta. Try out the Bluesky app on your iPad, and if you see anything off, let us know under Settings > Beta features.

@thisismissem.social @divy.zone and I recently went through an exploration of how the browser can help you login to websites with atproto accounts. We recently presented to the FedID CG and here is a sneak peek in case you couldn't join! This is early but we'd love your input before we go too far!

Atproto enjoyers: if I wanted an online multiplayer game to use atproto in some way, what might it look like? The most obvious/basic idea is login with atproto/bsky. What else might I consider? Ideally if scores are stored (for a leader board or something) they are tamper proof

GM. We are going to win. An internet where 4 corporations wall us all into their surveillance state and make us pay rent forever is just incompatible with human flourishing. The only question is how long it takes everyone propping up history's worst billionaires to figure this out.

Thanks @jimray.bsky.team for having me on the pod to talk about @emdashcms.com, how I use AI coding agents, and why atproto is mostly an excuse to buy domains

We talk atproto, of course, and @mk.gg also offers so much insight into what running a modern open source software project looks like.

This is what I’m saying: AT Protocol isn’t a product feature. It’s a path for developers to promise credibly not to screw over their users.

Jason Lengstorf@jason.energy

I was thinking about atproto more and had a thought: no one needs to know or care about the protocol. we just need to normalize the idea that it’s bonkers to allow any company to own part of your identity it’s like how you used to lose your phone number if you switched carriers. that sucked

That's right.

Jason Lengstorf@jason.energy

we don’t need to explain atproto. we need to move the Overton Window to get people asking why it’s considered normal that a company can unilaterally control (and destroy) part of our identity and we just… let them

I love this new feature we built for Roundabout. Our community members needed a way to message each-other with personal information, but no-one needed a new way for someone to slide into their DMs, or a new inbox to check.

Roundabout@roundabout.town

How do you allow people to connect one-on-one, for things like coordinating coffee chats and free item pickups, without creating a vector for spam and abuse?: In response to community member requests, our team came up with an elegant solution: Direct Replies

GM. It’s not that atproto is illegible to devs or even civilians but inscrutable via the systems of power that have taken over the internet. The sin of social media wasn’t technical but aligning with the desires of established power and ours is the long hard work of breaking that alignment.

Spaces are, of course, being designed on top of atproto spaces. Give these early explorations a look, think of them as a starting point for Atmospheric communities that could begin in the app, then integrate atproto apps to build completely custom experiences for the people you care about.

alex benzer@alexbenzer.com

we have an idea for communities in the app that we're calling "spaces" — places where people can gather around shared interests or social groups. here's a peek at some early prototypes. these are explorations, not polished or final. looking for feedback, esp from community builders 👀
