You can now @ people in Reams! Now you can see their profile photo when mentioned When you use the auto suggest, it'll create a link to the at uri of their profile, clicking it takes you to @aturi.to Interop wins! If you use only the @ you still get the chip, but it's saved as plain text.

I have a dream that one day all of the apps I use will be on protocol. Getting our own markdown editor Γ  la obsidian is a huge step forward that goal. Congrats on getting this out the door @hyl.st !!

Okay frick it, I'm announcing the project I've been working on. It's called Reams, a markdown editor that syncs over atproto spaces. It works offline, doesn't require a login, and has a bunch of features packed in. Try it at reams.ink, install the PWA for the best experience!

Software factories are a bad analogy that completely misunderstand the nature of software engineering. Wrote some thoughts on a better analogy, which also helped me think through where coding agents work well and where they don't. dajin.dev/posts/software_factory

Just saw a post on here about reciprocal AI norms, and how it is not appropriate to send people AI generated code without validating it yourself. I've been thinking the exact same thing recently, but now I can't find the post! Seriously I've been searching for an hour, does anyone have the link?

To date, @blackskyweb.xyz’s focus has been on building tools to provide a safer online space for members of the Black Twitter community to move to... With Acorn, Blacksky is providing access to these same tools to other communities that want to build their own spaces on the open social web.

I’ve been using Habitat Docs all day to take notes on all the great #ATscience talks. Hope everyone at the conf gets a chance to check it out! πŸ“ πŸ”¬

hi #ATmosphereConf and in the spirit of ABL: we built a local-first p2p markdown editor on our private data implementation: habitat.network/habitat/docs/, it permissions p2p connections in addition to records find @offline.arushibandi.com @sashankg.bsky.social @eagraf.dev to ask us more!

I am really looking forward to Arushi's @offline.arushibandi.com talk. As we were wrapping #AtmosphereConf 2025, she said thank you & a few other kind words on her way out the door. So I'm very pleased to see this talk, "in conversation with several of the talks from last year"

atmo.rsvpRewilding the internet with ATProtoSo far, many of the projects in the ATProtocol ecosystem have focused on bringing parityβ€”making projects that replicate our existing tools and platforms, but with the affordances of the protocol inste...

In part 2 of our calendar series, I explore what it would actually take to build a permissioned data app without AppViews. There are a couple twists and turns along the way, but in the end, we got a fully functional app πŸ“†

spaces, meet cliques! how we built a minimal calendar on pear (our permission-enforcing ATProto repo) and what we had to build to get there.

There is a bunch of speculative protocol creation in this post, so would love to hear what everybody thinks! Are the benefits worth the drawbacks? Is there another way we can make AppViews work for small world cases? Should something other than the PDS handle the new protocol elements we described?

Check out my first blog! As the ATmosphere moves towards permissioned data, how do we make sure privacy is really preserved? Can we build a permissioned data app today? All that and more in the post πŸ‘€πŸ“…

@eagraf.dev with part 1 of how we're building a personal calendar on ATprotocol and what we're thinking about (differently!) for permissioned data
