"I understand that the report was extensive and dense" no, it was slop. how are people cooked like this

Me: oh cool my new energy provider already migrated all my data 4 days later, my energy provider: you know, we also leaked all of our customers’ credentials due to a data breach 💀💀💀💀💀

adding on to this, if you use k3s then please restrict your network policies! the only connections allowed to your database pods should be via backend pods. if you have simple stateless frontends, they shouldn't be allowed to talk to anything other than your proxy volume binds should be ro and so on

aly@aly.codes

i cannot stress enough that if you are self-hosting shit you need to set up some sort of CI bot that will auto bump versions for you. won't protect you from compromised updates, but you really should not be running out of data versions of the commonly self-hosted apps

not really. I just have the agent generate workflows, I'm like "use a general-purpose agent with @model:foobar and instruct it on adversarial tasking, use @a:researcher to find good resources to adapt" I have a plan skill in ~every repo, amping up the plan facet's default behaviors, which does this

Fabrizio Sestito@fabriziosestito.bsky.social

@ed3d.net Been using Polytoken since this weekend and loving it! I configured `AGENTS.md` to run my adversarial subagent alongside the reviewer and a Kimi K3 security subagent. Do you have a security/adversarial subagent `.md` file you’d be willing to share?

Baseurl and Uintarray sound like very plausible monster names tbh

Alessio - アレッシオ reposted

building a jwt in javascript is extremely simple, all you have to do is convert your object into a string into a uint8array into a base64url string into an arraybuffer into a uint8array into another base64url string and that's the token

For the 100th time: LLMs are not an excuse to turn on our brains and “dark factories” are just a blatant lie No matter how many stacked PRs and stuff like that, good software still requires first of all competent people writing specs, and I really found few competent people among my peers

And truth is all the management in software industry just wants us to get rid of code reviews. But they just don’t have the guts to go to engineers and tell them “we wanna ship slop to prod at lightspeed”, they keep just moving the goalpost one centimeter after another lol

Little helpful tidbit, if you keep loosing your firewall rules with podman when the network reloads, enable the netavark-firewalld-reload.service via systemd. All it does it reload the firewalld rules known by netawark and hooks into firewalld reloading via systemd.
