this is honestly invigorating—maybe because the US far right has been on the rise most of my life, maybe because it suggests why the far right being unpopular is not enough. mostly: because it gives us something we can do
Many comments on the great election victories in Brazil and Serbia state that the authorian right is in decline or that voters have rejected far-right authoritarianism. That is a wrong interpretation of what happened. Progressive movements mobilized and beat the authoritarian right. That's different
I need accountability and restitution from every single person in the chain of decision making who decided "Liberty Bibberty" is something millions of people need to be exposed to.
We are thrilled to announce our newest podcast series, Omen - premiering October 30th, 2026, just in time for spooky season.
This series uses Last Sabbath by Officina Meningi , who are also graciously sponsoring this series. Last Sabbath is a gm-less, dice-less game about witches!
Once mass spam texts were made legal, younger donors vanished, leaving a grassroots fundraising machine that subsists on squeezing vulnerable seniors, some of whom give hundreds of times a day. It’s a horrific model. Consultants get generationally wealthy, and the party hollows out its future.
We found that as of right now 73% of your campaign donation goes back to the consultants and vendors (!!!), four times more than just 20 years ago. Only 13% to ads. Even I was shocked.

I am in the midst of recouping some finances and am trying my best to do what I can with what I have.
Please repost and share. A single repost could put me in the feed of someone who may be interested and helps promote my human made art!

if you’re wondering how my game of thrones watch is going it took until the red wedding for me to tell that roose bolton and edmere tully were separate people
Proposing analog to,”racism can explain every weird thing in America” is, “women are busy working for money is the secret reason everything we miss about a society is now dying.”
This article offers half a dozen reasons why people have stopped having friends and family over, but it ignores the fact that the women who planned parties and kept homes tidy enough for unplanned guests are now working for pay full-time (usually more than 9-5).

Productivity as an adult is just an endless process of applying new psychological tricks and operant conditioning to yourself until an acceptable number of tasks are completed.
No, but really, outsourcing our own moral discernment to the talking word toaster is not reasonable or ultimately positive for humans so it’s okay.
It is a machine. There’s no mortality to it being used as a machine. You don’t remote lock a guy for cussing out his tractor. What are we doing here?
I spent a year watching school administrators do their jobs—and interviewing the students most impacted.
I spoke to @thecut.com in a long-form Q&A about what I saw. Mainly, a system designed to protect perpetrators and punish victims in each and every case.
As we walk out of Barovia for good, we leave this land and this book forever changed. And we don't just mean the lidless third eye and hunger for bones, though those are nice too. Pour out a little Red Dragon Crush for all our mist connections.

It's not even funny what kind of loss I will absorb if I have to create an account to do business with you. I will walk away from a winning lottery ticket, I promise you.
Yes every woman has been harassed, many assaulted. But every woman has also experienced invisible loss from moments she avoided harassment. She felt a space becoming unsafe, so she left, while men stayed on. And in leaving, she lost: opportunities, experiences, learning, promotions, even simply fun.
Now I’m nobody, but I think that is indicative of a set of political principles. I think that’s worth taking a note of. They do not care whether it’s useful. They do not care about the user. If you are the user, however, maybe you care.
They are in fact contemptuous of the idea that I would go out and talk to people about how they use a technology or observe them trying to use it. Just hostile to the very concept of there being an end user.
Bullet time still hits, friends. In this month's bonus content, this film holds up far better than other, more Star Wars-y attempts to launch a sci-fi movie trilogy in 1999. What does body horror look like nearly 30 years later? I have no thumbs and I must scroll?

One Shot: Last Train to Bremen took home the award for Outstanding Drama, and I was awarded the William Dufris "Those Who Dare, Win" Achievement Award yesterday and I wrote a big sappy post about it on the pictures app. I'm feeling very good and warm.

LANTERNS is many things. A Green Lantern show, a good show, a mystery show. It is also a show about jackets. Every episode, someone is wearing a very sick jacket. Much to ponder.
In practice, AI literacy doesn’t start with building the tool for your personal use. It starts with understanding yourself as a collection of tasks who should subcontract those out to a machine. Almost no regular person’s life currently exists as such.
context. sentiment. inferences. People seriously cannot do these things anymore. That’s why they angrily demand you spell out every joke, every reference, super duper promise you mean something only this one prescribed way. They cannot do it for themselves or tolerate the any ambiguity.

Is this sandbox too spooky? Try a less grim take on Barovia with these more heroic (and more linear) options. And we pick clean the corpses of the other official Ravenloft books that have dropped in recent years.
