Dillin Apelyan - Bob the Builder's #1 Guy

There are pinned posts now so Hi!!! I'm Dillin! I'm a Game Designer and Actual Play creator!! You can find me as the current Host of One Shot, a principal cast member/editor on The Atomless and Patchwork Productions, and sometimes I get to appear in other rad places.

Me and Robin on @dorkspawn.bsky.social whenever we have anything critical to say about Dragon Age the Veilguard so that we're not confused with the "it's bad because of woke" crowd

Just in case I have friends who are late to the party please go watch Bunlith!!!!!

I have never been so excited to go play a game that I had zero interaction with until it was published than @superdillin.bsky.social All's Fair (Perhaps I'm a little selfish in that my brain has not computed away to share the playing experience yet, as I rub my greedy little palms together)

also I did the edit/sound design on this because of *circumstances*! I'm not nearly as good at this as the amazing talented beautiful perfect @shaghik.com but I THINK I DID OKAY. If you disagree please direct all hate comments to @oneshotrpg.bsky.social

HELL YEAH!! Give this beauty a listen! The House Edge is super fun, I cannot wait to run it 🤩🤩🤩

Sean ran The House Edge for us over on One Shot!!! I'm obsessed with every character in the Vegas Four but ESPECIALLY Acey Deucey

New One Shot!! We are playing The House Edge from @hauntedtable.games, as the Vegas F̶o̶u̶r̶ Three follow Nobody through a mysterious door to seek revenge Led by @seanireland.bsky.social feat @thecandacemarie.bsky.social as SK @drakoniques.itch.io as Razz @superdillin.bsky.social as Acey Deucey 🔗⤵️

In A Fool’s Errand, the fate of both gods and player characters is all in the cards. www.rascal.news/in-a-fools-e...

We're taking this week off, but we will return next week with a brand new episode featuring guest star Oscar Montoya!

I'm throwing a good ol' fashioned FIT right now

Some little indie rag wrote about #iHunt? NBD but you should check this out.

One of the most special parts of playing this game, much like playing The Time We Have, are the conversations that come after. The decomp after both of these games have led to some of the best and most important conversations of my life. I'm just so excited for this game to get fully realized

I didn't cry in this one gang! Very impressive if you know me at all!

New Dorkspawn ep today, discussing Dantooine in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic! In the top of this episode we take a minute (or seven) to say our 50 cents about the closing of BioWare and the state of the industry. Come celebrate and mourn BioWare with us <3 dorkspawn.carrd.co

one of my favorite events of the year: friends playing scary video games and being goofballs for charity. What could be better

When I played this, I was the vampire and Rowan was human. She was inside our IRL home, while I was literally outside in our yard on the steps, in the cold, in the dark, as we played. You do not have to go as fucking immersive as we did when you play this game but if you have the chance you should.

Very interesting new video from @cozyrpgreviews.bsky.social where he tries to learn how to play Orbital Blues by ONLY playing the solo supplement The Wanderer by @moreblueberries.bsky.social www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmMK...

If you try to tell me how a magic trick was done I will kill you dead in the street without ceremony

Making sure the original title of the game was still inside the game was very important to us 🥰

We've all been here before, right? @superdillin.bsky.social

Played Rise Wizards! by @moreblueberries.bsky.social with my 5yo daughter this morning and it was amazing 🤩 (we used a home rule to just rebuild our towers if they fell). Fish people, flying sheeps, a comet giraffe, and undeads in the shadow of the Toniebox! #ttrpg

Another Stephen Dick Jr classic is that once, the club had a fly problem. We asked him to please hire an exterminator or get traps but he instead bought us one of these. It was a real dick move as usual, but we had a ton of fun trying to shoot bugs out of the air. Tough to do in Pleasers.

My first five ttrpgs in the order I played them: 1. Vampire: the Masquerade 2. Demon: the Fallen 3. Changeling: the lost 4: Werewolf: the apocalypse 5: d&d (4 and 5 might be flipped it was so long ago now but the rest are for certain)

I was a brand new baby stripper working at Nite Moves when this happened and the video's been gone for YEARS until my friend recovered it from the internet archive Everyone, may I present my old boss and truly one of the most guys around, Stephen Dick Jr. and yes we were open at 11:30 am weekdays

THEY ARE HERE!!

Deeply saddened to see that the programs that #PAXTogether had, are now gone. Not even mentioned on the PAX website. So fucking disheartening and I really wanna know why @officialpax.bsky.social thought it'd be a good idea to get rid of them

Ok so we did talk about for over 1 hour about this AP. We also discuss Satyajit Ray's Devi. A brilliant film that you should watch [its on YouTube], and other topics from colonialism, sexism, misogyny, body autonomy, and I even reference Hazbin Hotel and DDLJ. C'mon algorithm do your thing.

Didn't realize I was gonna be THAT quick about posting it but here's the video. We talk and review GUDIYA, a Bluebeard's Bride Actual Play by @namelessdomain.bsky.social . @dungeonminister.bsky.social was a wonderful guest and an excellent person to talk to about this. youtu.be/aOsztTqlu4Y

some folks reported not being able to use certain adult-focused platforms (like onlyfans and fansly) — there was an internal miscommunication and these were accidentally added to the list of disallowed domains. this is now fixed! but you may need to refresh your app to get the update. 💙

If you want a caffeinated lap dance under the heat of the overhead lights I have the place for you

I'm gonna fucking CRY

For anyone else having big feelings about the BioWare news, please consider checking out @dorkspawn.bsky.social, a podcast where two best friends play games and discuss them like a book club, starting with Dragon Age and Mass Effect. I stumbled onto it this year and it’s beautiful and wonderful 💖

You can find our musical AP of To Feel Your Warmth, a new and heartbreaking game by @moreblueberries.bsky.social in your favorite podcast app right here: pod.link/1766663794/e... Because the weather is perfect for melancholy

RPG Help Desk is talking with @moreblueberries.bsky.social about telling tragic stories. Very excited for this one, so I hope to see yall there in 55 minutes! www.youtube.com/watch?v=sghu...

Going live now!!
