Yesterday I accidentally posted a reply as a regular post. A few people have quoted it in replies, as a way to reply to other people from me To help facilitate this I will now post a set of generic "reply posts" that you can use in future conversations

I just page-downed through ~2 years of my replies and couldn't find it (although annoyingly it seems like the browser was unloading posts above me which makes it harder to trust my ctrl-f results) 🥹

I don't think that was an accident, it happened to me too yesterday. Did a reply, and didn't appear. Then I saw it "became" its own post. So it was BlueSky's hiccup.

That's an amazing idea, and the fact you can also detach a quote can help to prevent people from using your "yes"/"no" inside controversial topics (the ones defended by Xitter supporters), if you ever need to.

If you ever accidentally start a reply but then remember "oh, this should be a post, for the benefit of all", there's a feature to fix that in the android app (on samsung) ✨️ Just add a gif via the phone keyboard (not the app gif button) and 🪄 the reply becomes a post

I believe in the local dialect its "Hello, I'm Julio Wayne. Honestly, you have a very lovely profile and I wish to know you. I will be glad if we can talk on my Google chat Juliowaynecaser@gmail .com, am looking forward to meet you but if you consider it to impropriety, am sorry thank you"

actually, lately this has been happening quite a few times for me on web to the point it's starting to feel like there's a weird a bug somewhere, but I still haven't been able to reproduce it

Here's one

On a more serious note, that has happened to me a number of times - I was always sure I had clicked on the "reply" icon (which is after all a whole different location than the "new post" button), yet my reply was "uncoupled" from the post I was replying to. Possibly a bug worth investigating?
