being sof is like, there are several Words in her bio, and once per day her brain will roll a dice to pick one of the Words and that's all she's going to talk about all day

these chopsticks casually holding and moving a building sized pressurized can that high up without anything underneat will always be such a weird thing

Capping off a busy two days at Starbase, Ship 43 is back on the ground after catch-related testing similar to what Ship 42 did. Here's a timelapse of its day. I bet it had a nice view of the Ship 42 static fire from up there!

like, just with these images it's hard to understand the scale, but this whole thing is bonkers the more you think about it

why are labels under the reply information, why is the timestamp in such an awkward spot and why does it need its own line, why are we using a thousand different font sizes and weights in the weirdest way possible, what is even trying to be conveyed here

sof
@mofu.run

and there's also the thing everyone already mentioned of not being able to differentiate a reply from anything else

does pbc even have someone working on UX there, why ask for feedback if you're not going to change anything people complain about, I'm so confused

the amount of wasted whitespace is insane, there are basically no visual cues and my eyes have no idea what to look at

WHY DOES THIS KEEPS GETTING PROVEN OVER AND OVER AGAIN

sof@mofu.run

I'm starting to realize I might be weak to isekais with absolutely bonkers plots, and I feel like I'm in danger

sof
@mofu.run

and it's kind of insane because I just picked this blindly, but then it somehow turned into whatever brain worms it's currently giving me

sof@mofu.run

sure, might as well throw another isekai in here at this point, it's about a girlboss, so I gotta!! also op by kaya and utahime ed, so can't skip

it's kind of crazy to think about how modern public transports are moving to QR code validation for some kind of tickets, but like, with the user as the source and the terminal has a camera and you're supposed to shove the qr code there???

sof
@mofu.run

but what do you mean we went from magnetic strips or rfid/nfc tickets to this, it seriously feels so wrong

sof
@mofu.run

I guess just printing a qr code on a piece of paper for single tickets is way more ecological? except the rfid ones were usually reusable, so there's that too

if qr codes really are the way to go, wouldn't it make more sense for the terminal to be the producer and always have newly generated qr code on a display you can scan using your phone? just like we already do with payments

sof
@mofu.run

except this doesn't work with paper tickets, so I guess there's that and I hate everything about this so much

sof
@mofu.run

like, not only the qr codes themselves feel kind of an archaic solution, but also, WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE TERMINAL IS THE CONSUMER 💀

sof
@mofu.run

I know cameras are cheap nowadays, but this is such a janky solution in so many ways

sof
@mofu.run

god, I can't stop thinking about yesterday's daiseijo episode, like, easily the funniest episode of the season by far until now

sof
@mofu.run

not to mention is has the best op and ed of the season as well, kind of crazy

sof
@mofu.run

it's absolutely incredible seeing two shows in the exact same season pulling the exact same joke and both being equally hilarious

extremely rude of you to take 6 whole months to finally refund me, but fine, I'll still accept it
