The irony that if he is referencing the Addenbrookes Cognitive Examination, it’s known as the ACE (scored out of 100, with cut-off being score of 85 below which you are diagnosed with dementia). It would be interesting to know which assessment tool was used in the medical exams & the score result.

Just talked to my 84 year-old mom who thought he was referring to a mental status exam which is routinely given to people 65+ by their doctor. Nope - this is cognitive testing which is only given when there are signs of dementia. Three times means they are measuring rate and extent of decline.

It happens with some forms of dementia, but not FTD, which literally erodes the parts of the brain that regulate behavior and help follow social rules. He has not (publicly) been diagnosed with FTD. He's just showing a hell of a lot of the symptoms.

Dr's are saying it's not Alzheimer's, its Frontotemporal Dementia +Malignant Narcissism. And they're pulling him in for a lot of MRI's.It's going to be a rough ride but,I think the FTD will do him in faster. Like, pretty soon. We can only hope.

3/3 this test has not been given to me in five years. As there’s so much more involved in assessing someone for signs of dementia/Alzheimer’s. Don’t believe Trump when he thinks he’s acing this cognitive test. I have and continue to have every single intensive test that is out there. He’s lying.

2/3 I do not have it. But I am constantly being assessed for signs as I am at a high risk. I have cognitive/neurological/physical testing done every three months. The extremely in-depth and extensive testing that I have done includes a wide spectrum.

1/3 As someone whose both parents passed away from Alzheimer’s, this is just a very INITIAL test. As signs of decline/dementia increase, there is significantly more in depth testing that is done. I have been in a clinical trial for Alzheimer’s for 5+ years and counting.

This test is given routinely for medicare-billed physicals, not just when someone has cognitive decline. The fact that he's taking the test doesn't mean much. The fact that he's bragging about passing it as though it's hard means much more. The MRI is significant.

I'd be willing to believe that few people who take those tests "ace" them, in that if you're given one of those screenings, it's because you're showing signs of cognitive decline. Even if he "aced" it, it doesn't say good things about his normal behavior that the screen was thought necessary.

I would guess most presidents didn't work as hard before or after their time in office. It is a killer job. Compare photos of them on their first and last days. And he does get in time for several rounds of golf each week.
