Trump: I HAD to surrender in the war I started with Iran! It was for the good of the world! I took one for the team! So the world OWES me bigly! And I’m going to collect, just you wait and see!

Trump is an agent of chaos. And in the furious chaotic whirlwind that he’s caused, he’s hoping that Americans, and the world more generally, won’t notice that he’s stealing them blind.

The Trump regime is attempting to provoke the citizenry by sanctioning the execution of innocent people by ICE thugs, but they’ll be happy if these unlawful and unjustified killings become normalised, knowing the people are becoming cowed. Why aren’t police and the National Guard protecting people?

How long until US foreign policy under Trump becomes “We will take anything we want at any time from any country and you will do nothing about it because we will nuke the first country to resist.”

Whenever I see any of the chest-thumping ‘patriotic’ poseurs in the Trump administration, I get the strong impression that they would sell America out in a heartbeat if they thought they would benefit personally from such a transaction.

The November 2025 election results in the US will rattle Trump and the MAGAGOP. But instead of them listening to the public mood and easing back on their excesses, expect them to double down frantically on their punishment of the people, implementing Project 2025 and rigging the mid-terms next year.

Liberal “Dead” Ted O’Brien on 7.30 tonight saying he’s attending the Federal Government’s productivity summit to represent households who are doing it tough. What rubbish! He’s representing big business that hasn’t shared productivity gains with workers for at least a decade.

If Putin is warning Europe “to not throw a wrench in the works” over his ‘agreement’ with Trump and “not use backroom dealings” to torpedo it, then you can bet your last dollar that the agreement is very good for Russia. Which means it is very bad for Ukraine.

The Israeli Government: Now that we have destroyed Gaza, rendered its population homeless and engineered widespread famine within its borders, we need to find some schmucks to take it over and meet the costs of reconstruction as we haven’t been able to displace the population to other countries.

With the US review of the AUKUS, it would not be surprising if Trump is getting ready to try and shake down Australia. If he does, it would be an ideal opportunity to walk away from the deal and revert to a sub deal with France.

Thank you, Australia, for looking to the future and not dwelling on the past! And for seeing through the tissue-thin policies proffered by the Coalition, which needs comprehensive reform to prune the dead wood at senior levels.

A reminder that politicians who are trying to pull the wool over your eyes (and they all do, to varying extents) are relying on you not doing your homework come election time. And if you aren’t engaged because “they’re all rascals, anyhow”, then you’re risking even worse rascals winning office.

Trump has enough material from his first term for a sequel to “The Art of the Deal”, called “The Art of the Steal”. So far in his second term, he already has enough material for a third volume called “The Art of the Heel”.

Peter Dutton walking back policies this morning that he should never adopted in the first place. Their initial announcement showed a profound lack of judgement. How many more policies might need to be jettisoned by the Coalition during the election campaign? A party on the verge of chaos.

What are the odds that a global trade war induced by Trump’s tariff policy could precipitate another global financial crisis? And this time, governments won’t have as many shots in the locker to address it.

The use of the Signal app by Trump’s band of seditionists is a clear sign that they are less concerned with America’s enemies learning about what they are planning, than the American people finding out about these plans.

How dare the Australian Government run its Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme in a bid to assist Australian citizens through more affordable medication prices? Won’t someone think of the US pharmaceutical giants, whose profits are reduced from obscene to merely stratospheric levels as a result of this?

If your country still believes the US to be an ally, and your country is attacked and turns to the US for help, it would probably be safe to assume that the response by the US would be “How much are you prepared to pay per month (in advance) for our assistance?”

Trump Administration to Ukraine: “You know all the weapons the US has given you to fight the Russian invasion? How you were told it was free with no strings attached?” Ukraine: “Yes, we are eternally grateful for your help.” Trump Admin: “Here’s the invoice. Pay up within 7 days. No discounts.”
