....and so ends the short, pathetic political career of J.V. Vance! What a creepy guy!

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

JD Vance: "When you're mean to Amy Acton, she sics the American media and of course the Democrat Party operatives all across the state of Ohio after you. But I think a person who is more worried about whether somebody says something mean about them, that person can never serve in the gov's mansion"

First came the DOGE Payoff Ploy. Then Trump’s "A dividend of at least $2,000 a person…will be paid to everyone" Tariff Refund Con. Now a blatantly illegal $1.3 Trillion Vote Bribe. And Congress, seeing nothing, just yawns

Actor Jeff Daniels on Donald Trump's second term: "We've lost morality. We've lost decency. We've lost respect for the rule of law. We've normalized verbal abuse. We've normalized bullying. Morality and integrity have gone out the window. We're supposed to elect our best, not our worst."

Of the thousands of GOP nominees Susan Collins has voted on over a 29-year career, NOT ONCE has she cast a tie-breaking vote against the GOP. But she's cast dozens of tie-breaking votes *for* GOP nominees, bills etc. Are we supposed to believe this is some quirky statistical anomaly? #MEpolitics

Tales of everyday corruption. Pete Hegseth cancelled the $400,000 contract for making uniforms for the Blue Angels on the grounds that the contract with "The Sewing Box" was DEI since the firm is Black-owned. Instead, he awarded it to a Trump donor for $1,690,000, a 325% price increase!

"[Susan] Collins' objections all sound correct in isolation, but her admission that the DOJ has become a partisan weapon in Trump's pocket raises a host of tough questions she cannot answer. Most pointedly, if Collins really believes what she's saying, why is she only speaking up now? #MEpolitics

ms.nowOpinion | Susan Collins is back to her old tricks. Maine voters should see right through them. Her opposition to Todd Blanche’s nomination as attorney general raises a host of tough questions.

“Don’t worry, Pete. That little speech I read was just for the voters back home. I have to put on these little shows to convince them I’m independent. You will get the $1.5 trillion for your wars even though I just gave ICE unlimited funding to run wild. We’ll just borrow more.”

A protest group called The Secret Handshake placed a giant gold “Iran war participation trophy” for President Trump on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

I liked David Costello. Voted for him. But he never really “ran” for governor just sort of leisurely strolled for office. I never saw a single campaign sign in Portland and didn’t even know who he was until a few weeks before the election. Needs work on his running game.

Well…considering that she is on the Select Committee for Intelligence…

How is it possible that this document has been read by tens of millions of people all over the world on the internet but a senior senator on the Intel Committee hasn’t?

Trump: "Literally, you walk over from Iran to Qatar. You can walk it in one second. You go, boom, boom, and now you're in Qatar." Qatar and Iran do not share a land border.

Less than 50% of the vote and it’s a landslide like no one’s ever seen before!

WOW - Trump crashes out & cuts his interview w/ Welker short as she presses him on his lack of evidence for claiming elections are rigged "You're either crooked or you're stupid. I've had enough. Thank you darling," he tells her" "I traveled all the way to Wisconsin for this interview," she pleads

I’d bet money that Platner, if he beats Collins, will make the GOP quite pleased.

Bonnie Engle@lunatic546.bsky.social

This reminds me of when we elect a democrat and then they change party affiliation once they are elected It needs to be done before the vote. I know it’s not the same thing, I just don’t like it.

Bingo!

It’s probably too late to learn about the democratic Senate candidate who has been the best choice all along. How did this happen?

Tucker@tuckerinmaine.bsky.social

As you might imagine, US Senate Candidate David Costello has a busy weekend ahead given that it is the last weekend before the primary vote in Maine. However, he added another meet and greet event to his calendar and hopes that folks in the area are able to make it! #mepolitics

Costello may have the real-world experience but where is he? As of yesterday not one Costello campaign sign on Franklin St. in Portland. He’s the Waldo of Democratic candidates.

NEW: lots of you have sent me this article asking for my thoughts. I’ve been able to confirm it. Just as she says, Trump’s administration is staging vote.gov on a non-government cloudflare account under the EOP where there’s no oversight or accounting. 1/ open.substack.com/pub/thedreyd...

Climate change is real. Largely human caused and already an existential threat to many communities and livelihoods. To tackle climate change we must implement an aggressive, science-based plan to markedly curtail greenhouse gas emissions globally and pull carbon down from our atmosphere. #MEpolitics

The most important thing Maine democrats can do today is to give David Costello a close look before making up their minds.

It’s estimated that 1,049,454 Americans have died in wars spanning from Lexington and Concord to today. Each number represents a person who never came home, a family forever changed. All who sacrificed are honored today...

They're playing the old "Mushroom Cloud" card from the lead up to the Iraq war. Same old song and dance.

I’m sure people just love it when a multi- zillionaire Republican lectures them about the need to set aside their economic worries. Good grief.
