I have curated who I follow on social media so well that I have not had to unfollow anyone in wake of the Charlie Kirk assassination and for that, I give myself a high five

I'm not going to be scolded for failing to mourn the shooting death of a man who demanded shootings be an acceptable part of American life. I'm not going to feel bad for being desensitized to the gun violence he demanded we become desensitized to.

You're getting a clear X-ray of America right now. Look at who this country's powerful institutions choose to elevate, venerate, and celebrate. Look at the double standards. Look at the people who adore Charlie Kirk - then spend five minutes reviewing his hateful legacy. This is America.

“In the aftermath of Kirk’s murder, Trump and the Maga establishment have immediately denounced leftist rhetoric and blamed the left for political violence in America – while ignoring entirely the extreme vitriol coming from their own side, including from Kirk himself.“

inews.co.ukCharlie Kirk's killing has shown Trump up as the self-serving hypocrite he isThe Maga establishment is weaponising and politicising the shooting, and risks even more violence

Somehow I got on the side of Tiktok where people are complaining about bi people going to pride with their opposite gendered partner. Get me off of this god damn ship

I comment on a LOT of shit. Never have I EVER been attacked so much in a comment section as I am right now... for saying that it's odd to do body modifications on an infant child that can't consent (the topic is about ear piercing) STAY MAD MOMS I'LL CONTINUE TO JUDGE YOU A LITTLE

I'm on Handmaid's Tale tiktok today and after this week's episode all of the Nick defenders are fighting for their lives in the comments On a venn diagram, I can guarantee there is heavy overlap with the same people who "cancelled out" their partner's vote last November. I'll die on that hill

As somebody who went to school to major in English studies I just gotta say that I love Charles Bukowski and IDC IF IT'S CLICHE OR CRINGE he was such a talented writer and his work is inspirational goodnight

I had a friend once that very adamantly boycotted Chick Fil A for political reasons and would throw a fit if our work ordered it for lunch, yet would go to Starbucks or Mcdonalds every single day because "idc I just want it" and it was sooo Gen Z activism exhibit A

i have learned that way too many americans see the concept of 'freedom' simply as the potential to be rich and privileged, even if they aren't, & not things like freedom from dying from a preventable illness if you're poor, or being imprisoned for minor crimes, or persecuted by the police, etc

I sometimes love my state

It’s a beautiful day when you wake up to brand new Supreme Court Justice Crawford in Wisconsin and Tesla continuing to crater. Elon burnt $82 million in that race. Billionaire arrogance? Meet Badger State grit.

(1) As an English major I have to tell this horror story. I was in a creative storytelling class and I wrote this whooooole several chapter short story, only submitted the first chapter for class. We're all sitting in this circle and this girl finishes her critique with "it's nice not to see a story

(2) where they fall in love, it's such a cliche trope" and little did she know, she clocked my ass. They started to fall in love in chapter 3. I went home, bought 4 coffees from Kwik Trip, and rewrote the rest of it that night to escape embarrassment. This haunts me years later. Goodnight

Wonder how thick the security detail will be. Asking for a friend. I'm in Wisconsin and would have voted Susan Crawford x100 if I could

No matter what side of the aisle you are on, you should be appalled that a billionaire thinks he has the right to buy elections like this.

Every single time I've watched this scene in Handmaid's Tale I have cried. When Moira opens the door to the Angel's Flight plane and Luke watches the kids file out, hoping for Hannah but she isn't there. Pulls at my heart strings every time bro

Also the scene where June runs off to distract the guardians from the airport and her friends stay behind to help her. They are willing to die for the cause. Empowering woman moment. I bawl like a baby

Imagine thinking that it's cringe to mind your own business around people that aren't bothering anyone. You're going to die on a hill about "ethics" when you're knee-deep in the weeds and every opinion you have is hypocritical? You hate empathetic ideology because you're too dense to understand it

Came across a book online titled Toxic Empathy: How Progressives Exploit Christian Compassion by Allie Beth Stuckey. Look it up if you need a good laugh. Another white woman with a podcast, desperate to feel like a minority, strikes again

Holy fuck, Tornado season in WI is upon us, my parents got hit at 1am last night and lost their barns, their neighbors lost two of their outbuildings, another neighbor lost ALL of his pheasants

If i saw a child doing heroin i would jump in front of the needle and take the Hit . That is how dedicated i am to community's

Not the first person to make this observation, but it's so striking how the media covered the crack epidemic as a problem caused by black/urban drug users and the fentanyl epidemic as a problem imposed externally on white/rural drug users.
