Absolutely mental that you can get your driving licence at 17 (as I did) and never face any kind of check as to your driving capability or habits until you're 70 (or whatever it is). You could be the worst driver for 50 years, in charge of a two tonne machine that kills, totally unregulated.

Should be mandatory for drivers to have eye tests every 2 years at the opticians Once there’s a problem at the roadside, it’s too late

Has anyone reported this shocking example to the company? Is it @sainsburys.bsky.social ? If *everyone* concerned contacted them it might help and can't hinder! Try googling to find ceo address, customer services, etc. @edi.bike @chdot.bsky.social @edfoc.bsky.social @policescotland.bsky.social

A strange thing as there are no restrictions on loading here, you can just stop outside the cycle lane and drop off your grocery delivery for free any time of day or night. Why wouldn’t a professional in a liveried vehicle understand this?

Great, although I'm not sure if they monitor their @bsky.app account? They don't post to it. Probably best to google their ceo & customer services and email them (takes a wee bit longer obviously, but...)

Dear @sainsburys.bsky.social If this is your vehicle parked on the footway in Edinburgh, as appears to be the case, please remind your drivers that parking on the footway is illegal in Edinburgh.

You can see why AA is an opportunity. Red dots are end of existing cycle routes (smaller dots for narrow lanes). Red lines are potential extensions of existing lanes that would create a nice mesh. Creating a mesh would be more beneficial.

Remember when the ‘controversial’ cycle route through Roseburn Terrace in #Edinburgh was going to force all the local shops to close? Looks like the new bus lane operating hours between East Milton Road and London Road is going to have the same effect.

Our latest cycle ride with our North Edinburgh Women's group was a sunny one, along the North Edinburgh cycle network and out to Newhaven lighthouse. It's great to work in partnership with Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre to help promote confidence and safer cycling for women.

The chance to keep global warming below 1.5°C with no overshoot is gone. But urgent action can still limit the overshoot and bring warming back to 1.5°C by 2100. Current policies, however, put the 🌎 on course for up to 2.8°C this century. New #EmissionsGap Report: https://ow.ly/SNHX50ZZz8l

Totally - and that story must be : i) legal e-bikes are a large and beneficial part of the future of mobility; ii) so too are e-motorbikes (once they are registered, and treated as motorbikes, we should welcome them); iii) the current 'problems' take place in an environment created by and for cars.
