Just walked down Leith Street and across Picardy Place. As someone who's also a cyclist its shocking how many cyclists ran red lights, including one woman weaving through a large crowd of pedestrians who had right of way.

Somewhat ironic... The original Covid was called the China flu by the Donald, the latest version is commonly called the American Covid.

@networkrail.bsky.social Your staff need to enforce the no smoking in Edinburgh Waverley Station. Twice this week I've entered via Calton Road steps, and at the top of the steps (where there are TWO no smoking signs) I've seen various station based staff smoking!

Just walking down Leith Walk. The number of cyclists riding the wrong way - I'm surprised I haven't heard about an accident yet.

You do have to wonder about some people - despite all the signs and barriers on Restalrig Road i've just watched this red Ford mount the pavement to access the closed area, to realise that the road is blocked, before mounting the other pavement to get out again - this is him coming out.

I think i've discovered invisibilty. Just been up town and the number of people who almost walked into me..... Perhaps not helped by a general inability of anyone to walk in a straight line and a loack of situational awareness.

A missed opportunity @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social ? What is a very wide Restalrig Road with relatively narrow pavements - could have changed the layout a wee bit here to make it more pedestrian & community friendly rather than continuing making it a busy though road???

Another day, more inconsiderate parking - the van on the left can't get through (there is another parked van behind the one ahead - double parked!)

And taxi drivers wonder why they get slagged off - this one has just done a U turn on Leith Walk (note the no U turn sign), obstructing both a tram and a bus in the process.

I presume this is @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social led project in Restalrig? Every bay is pale blue - was there no design thought as every block being white & blue just repeats the design blandness of the past - why not some blocks with pale orange, yellow or green???
