My special that comes out TOMORROW is the most personal comedy I’ve ever done. Come watch the premier of Big Divorce Energy on Youtube with me! Link in bio

I *loved* Ghostbusters, but the dogs Louis and Dana turned into scared me so much. I remember having to close my eyes during those scenes.

In honor of scary media month: what is the first piece of media you remember truly frightening you as a child?

Got mine in the mail yesterday, it’s awesome.

Martyn Doust designed the device Nemik records his manifesto on in Andor, and based it on his first-ever Walkman. In the concept art Nemik is listening to “It’s Britney, Bitch”, “Hit Me Baby One More Time”, and “Teenage Dirtbag”.

here is the thing. if you tell me that you believe that race is a biological category and that it is a guide to the objective superiority and inferiority of groups of people, i am not calling you a racist to *insult* you, i am calling you a racist because it best describes your beliefs.

One really good example of the Mandela Effect is the number of ppl who think that when they were kids someone tried to trick them by saying “Did you know that gullible isn’t listed in the dictionary?” - a thing that did not actually happen to anyone

Love it. “The machine specifically designed to string together the words that will be most appealing to me agreed with me”

another way to put this is that if serkis were serious he’d only cast English people of direct Saxon stock because if Tolkien was channeling anything it was the mythology of the pre-conquest isles. casting a variety of white people from very different backgrounds puts lie to the whole thing.

Those upset people are transphobic, lady! Even if they can justify it in some way and even if it isn’t, on the surface, malicious. Their talking points and their worries are coming from transphobic fear mongering, the exact kind GP is participating in in this clip.

Gluesenkamp Perez: "At town halls, what I saw was the people who were the most upset had spent the last 12 years driving their girls to sports practice & they view their best shot of their student going to college as an athletic scholarship. So when we rush to moralize we miss some of the nuance."

Bethan's Rock is a small grey stone on display at Poole Museum in Poole, England. It was donated to the museum in 2019 by a five-year-old girl named Bethan, and it has since attracted significant attention on social media and become the museum's most famous object. - Wikipedia

Absolutely idiotic claim. So many people have insurance “just in case” and never use it. That’s part of how insurance as a concept even works. And if they pay for it but don’t use it, WHO CARES?! How is that fraud?

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Dr Oz on ACA "fraud" -- "Of the people who signed up, 40% never use the insurance. Let me ask you, John, you have health insurance -- do you use it once a year? In Obamacare right now 40% of the people ostensibly signed up never use the insurance ... we have a lot of fake people on the policies"

I truly don’t understand how up your own ass you need to be to think this is a good idea.
