We've seen people confused about what exactly is going away. Alchemy (the format) is going away. Alchemy (the cards) are staying. Rebalanced cards will be reverted. Oracle of the Alpha stays. You can play it in Historic/Timeless. Rebalanced 0/3 A-Symmetry Sage is reverting to 0/2 Symmetry Sage.

Scryfall is redefining what a card being "full-art" means in search, and adding a new term: Translucent. Since the introduction of the is:default and is:atypical designations, one issue has surfaced from their definitions: cards with translucent frames (Eldrazis) were not showing up as "default". 🧵

Did you know that if you create a page on @mtg.wiki for a player who is popular with people on Bluesky that heaps of people will share it and that will build awareness and even might lead to new people who want to start writing about Pro Players creating wiki accounts to do that? Cool, right?

Okay here is my problem with this kind of design. It means nothing on its own. It only has ludo-narrative value as a reference to something else. It is empty in and of itself. It forgoes its own story in exchange for a weak icon or index of another story that cannot stand up on its own.

In case you're as dumb as me: If you want to play a creature and activate the Power-up in the same turn, it costs the written Power-up cost (total). You do not have to cast the creature, subtract the mana value and then pay the rest. The way I was doing the MATH. 🤦🤦🤦
