I was talking it out with Ben Schwartz, and somehow he got a copy of their evidence. It was a "video" depicting the supposed kicking I did. But it was a series of ASCII images, like you'd see in old gamefaqs headers. And much more scrambled. "This backslash is supposed to be my leg?"

I argued my case but it was like talking to a wall. I had no choice but to forfeit my place in the competition and go back to the airport. Around this realization, I woke from the dream feeling pretty confused. One of the weirder dreams I've had in the last several years.

The organizers disqualified me from the whole thing and needed to leave the country immediately. They said I'd kicked someone. I was shocked. I'd done nothing of the sort. I didn't know where this accusation was coming from. They claimed to have evidence but refused to show me. I was so upset...

I'm just a little pissed off that fewer people are getting paid to make games, and more people are paying increasing costs in order to make games. That's not an industry, it's an extraction of resources. Creative people need compensation for their labor.
