Well that was easy, thanks again @jasonbostwick.bsky.social for the suggestion. Here's a non-comprehensive list of VOID 1680 AM Affiliate stations across the globe, sorted by air date: bannerless.games/void-map Each one has a link to their first broadcast.

Hello! I am interested in mapping out the (often fictional) locales of the VOID 1680 AM Affiliate stations, of which there are now well over 100. Anyone aware of an app/site that will let me drop a pin on cities and states, and ideally persist so I can link it for others to explore?

This is a good time to revisit a story we pubbed more than a year ago. The claims of safety/advantage have become accepted as fact. But they’re vastly inflated … or flatly untrue. assignedmedia.org/breaking-new...

Lula winning is great for the planet, great for Brazil, and great for people who aren't revanchist assholes everywhere in the world, but let's not forget that it's also going to make some of the worst people on Earth extremely sad and mad. We should enjoy that, as a little treat.

They want us to be scared, and sure, there is much to fear. It can always get worse. But a world that can get worse can also always get better, and our power, our vision, our beauty and our joy is stronger than anything they can imagine, and every moment we bring them to one another is a victory

Dont forget my loves, these ghouls must spend their every moment living in fear and activation in order to maintain sufficient momentum, the richest men in the world must spend all their time and money to maintain this stranglehold, and still power is constantly slipping from their grasp

Do not show me Palmer Luckey's face again, I do not need to know about the latest vaporware press release that netted one of the worst people alive yet another mountain of money while everyone I know is one bad bill away from ruin

well, on the one hand AI has made things significantly worse for everyone in almost every capacity that it has touched. But on the other hand, the dumbest guy you know can send emails nobody reads really fast now. So it's impossible to say whether it's good or not

A game I think really got slept on is Deathloop. Extremely stylish, interesting conceit, fun protagonist, leans into Arkane’s main strength i.e. sending you on stealth missions to kill a bunch of weird perverts

This is the big thing I want to hammer home with my work here: we on the left are not *better* than conspiracy theorists. We are not *above* propaganda. We are not *too smart* to fall for scams. People like AltNPS know how to exploit our fears and manipulate our anxieties, and we need to be alert.

HyveMynd@hyvemynd.bsky.social

What's that saying about how being aware of propaganda doesn't make you immune to it? I followed that Alt National Park account for a while because I wanted some kind of hope too.

Patrick O'Duffy reposted

As we approach the midterms, remember that the Alt National Park Service is a merch sales operation claiming without evidence to be a group of federal employees, and is not a genuine source of news about elections of any kind. Please get your election info from a local, reputable source.

RE: my last reskeet: I sympathise with all my writer friends bombarded by endless scam emails with reams of AI lies about how they'll sell a million more books if they hand over 100 bucks. I, however, am too unsuccessful and unloved a writer to have ever received one. is that is that better

The Cartoon Network leak revealed that the team actually wrote fake interviews for the Powerpuff Girls in-house so that the writers could understand them better and honestly this is incredibly useful for learning how to characterize your characters holy shit

"Make me virtuous, but not yet" is one of the all timer great insights, and one thing servives can design for is to present you with a sequence of micro choices, encouraging you away from planning, as that locks you into your basic preferences more which makes you a more reliable income stream

We already have flying cars. They're called helicopters. They're really expensive and there are good reasons you have to have a pilot license and work with air traffic control to fly them. Putting jets on a sedan is not going to result in a better vehicle or transportation experience in any way.

You should read this. It’s really good.

Trying to treat every marginalized person as a spokesperson for their form of marginalization in every situation is itself proof that you are not treating them as just being people.
