Thank you for holding the line in the most difficult of times. Especially as we hear about more cuts at Microsoft, EA, and others, seeing great journalism still happening is vital and comforting. Support the journalists who are carrying the flame for the ACTUAL industry (devs) and not execs.

I very much enjoyed this conversation. Nathan asked extremely insightful questions in a conversation that starts with the good times (five or six years ago) and explores what the heck happened to put the industry where it is today.

the failure of the gaming industry is the fact that every single dev is not on the streets burning it all down and we keep operating as business as usual.

While we knew this leveraged buyout would lead towards some massive cuts at EA, it's still incredibly heartbreaking to see. The games industry slowly but surely being dissolved at the expensive of the working class only to benefits the ultra-rich.

BREAKING: Electronic Arts is cutting 400 jobs and shutting down BioWare, the legendary development studio behind Dragon Age and Mass Effect. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

My thoughts right now are with those working at EA, as well as their contractors, vendors, and agencies, all of whom will be feeling the impact of these cuts. At a loss of words for the rippling impact this will have on the livelihoods of hundreds, if not thousands, of people.

I have a hunch that “Artificial” is going to be the “The Social Reckoning“ type movie we all wished we got this year.

mtsw@mtsw.bsky.social

This is a boring analysis but I think the reason that THE SOCIAL RECKONING bombed is that Jeremy Strong does not look like Mark Zuckerberg

I’m thinking too deeply about the takeaways from “You Can See Everything” and my friends are all collateral of those thoughts.

Saw "You Can See Everything" last night and I cannot stop thinking about it? That was three hours of a movie that left me with a feeling of way more uncertainty than I thought I'd have after seeing it. What a brilliantly put together documentary.

Happy anniversary, Rock Band 4. Forever grateful for how much that single game, let alone the entire franchise, impacted my life.

Equally am so grateful to have played both some small and some large parts to allowing that game to bring joy to others.
